Help - in need of ideas!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there! Expecting a girl in [name_u]July[/name_u] and we are a little stuck on her name. We have one son named [name_u]Colby[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and we don’t want her to have the same initials as him, so that cuts out a few favorites, and we want her middle name to be [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], so that also cuts out more favorites. My husband and I both really like [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] but wonder if it’s a bit gender ambiguous despite [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] being very popular for girls. We’ve talked about maybe spelling it Raygan or Raegyn to maybe make it appear more feminine. We aren’t 100% sold on it, but for now it’s our backup name. I’m hoping we can get some suggestions that match our style and work well with the middle name [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. Thanks!

Names on our list that can’t be used for various reasons:
[name_u]Camryn[/name_u]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]Ryley[/name_u]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]

Have you considered [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]? I find that less unisex than [name_u]Reagan[/name_u].

[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Taylor[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

Here are some other suggestions:

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]/[name_u]Edan[/name_u]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] (A little similar to [name_u]Reagan[/name_u])

And I also like the suggestion of [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]

I think [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] sounds great with [name_u]Colby[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]! (please don’t spell it Raygan or [name_f]Raegan[/name_f]…your child will go through life having to correct the spelling of her name…take it from an [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] spelled [name_f]Alissa[/name_f]…not worth it.)

If you really like [name_f]Leah[/name_f], maybe try to find a different middle name? [name_u]Colby[/name_u] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] also sound adorable as siblings.

Other suggestions:

[name_u]Jordyn[/name_u]/[name_u]Jordin[/name_u]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
[name_f]Macie[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_u]Payton[/name_u]
[name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
[name_f]McKenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
[name_f]Kinsley[/name_f] ([name_u]Leigh[/name_u] wouldn’t work as a middle name, but it is cute)
[name_f]Alexia[/name_f]

I like the [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] spelling best. [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is fairly androgynous, but I generally assume that a kid named [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] is a girl (there were more than 3000 girls given the name last year but only about 200 boys). A few other names you may like:
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] (or maybe [name_f]Aubree[/name_f] or [name_f]Aubrie[/name_f])
[name_f]McKenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_u]Addison[/name_u]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_u]Skylar[/name_u]
[name_u]Madigan[/name_u]
[name_f]Aisling[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]

I like [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. Please don’t change the spelling if you use [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] - it’s much nicer this way.

I think [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is nice, but I would definitely use that spelling. Personally, I think of [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] more as a girls name, so I think I would assume [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] was a girl. If you’re worried about it being mistaken for a boys’ name, maybe use two middle names to add some femininity? Something like [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]? It seems like you don’t mind alternative spellings, you could try to find a first name that incorporates [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], like Rayleigh, [name_f]Haleigh[/name_f], [name_u]Chesleigh[/name_u], Kinsleigh, [name_u]Leighton[/name_u], or [name_f]Ashleigh[/name_f]. If you want some other names that seem to be a similar style, maybe:
[name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]/[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
Aniston
[name_u]Reece[/name_u]/[name_u]Reese[/name_u]

If you are going to use [name_u]Reagan[/name_u], I suggest you use that spelling instead of an alternative/creative spelling.

I don’t care for [name_u]Reagan[/name_u]. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is the name that comes to mind. [name_u]Colby[/name_u] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would be great together!

Please don’t a butcher a name to make it “feminine.” Are you wanting an androgynous name, feminine name, or what?

I really like [name_u]Paisley[/name_u], its too bad your are set on [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]! I would definitely stick with [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] spelling, and I think it is much more popular with girls.

My other suggestions would be [name_u]Piper[/name_u] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u].

I understand your dilemma. We are trying to use a specific family name for a middle name. But it’s thrown out if we like a first name that doesn’t go. We plug in a different family name or her middle name that does work. I have no idea what we will name our baby due in [name_u]November[/name_u], it’s a hard job but I feel like the first name is used more often and in my opinion more important than a middle name. What first names do you guys like? Could [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] be your baby’s first name? [name_f]Leah[/name_f]/[name_u]Lee[/name_u] is really cute!

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Brianna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Jaida[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Jemma[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Kara[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Kendra[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

I like the two regular spellings for [name_f]Raegan[/name_f]/[name_u]Reagan[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Reagan[/name_u]/[name_f]Raegan[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is pretty.

If you’re feeling like that’s just a fallback position and not your first choice, maybe you would like [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]:

[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]

[name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is wearable!

[name_u]Camryn[/name_u]: [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]: [name_f]Clio[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Ryley[/name_u]: [name_f]Irie[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u]: Persy [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]: [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

Good luck!
