We are expecting a baby boy and currently have a daughter, [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. Our last name is very difficult to work with, as it is one syllable, starts with an S, and rhymes with hot. It’s the name of the machine they use in casinos :slight_smile: Anyway, I am finding boy names very difficult. I want something that is not too popular, but more classic in nature like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].

Currently on our list we have the following:

[name_m]Levi[/name_m]-not sure if I really like it anymore, almost sounds too “western”

[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]- like [name_m]Luke[/name_m], but too popular, so this is an alternative but concerned that our last name begins with an S, and this name ends in an S. And is [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] too popular?

[name_u]Everett[/name_u]-Not sure if it works with our last name

What are some other boy names that are at least 2 syllables, classic, yet not too popular, and go well with [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and our last name? Thanks!

I liked [name_u]Luca[/name_u], hubby did not. Is [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] too popular now? I don’t hear it very often, but don’t want it to be a problem.

I like [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. Unfortunately, I do think [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] doesn’t work with an S last name, as my DH likes that name but we have an S. I also like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Malcom[/name_m], and [name_m]Clarence[/name_m].

With your last name, I’d cut out any first names ending in S. The T-T ending with [name_u]Everett[/name_u] S…t is okay, but I’d probably not use names ending in T either. What about [name_m]Luke[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? I love [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] with your last name and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]!

the S at the end of [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] makes it not work with your last name and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] sound too much alike. [name_m]Levi[/name_m] is a good choice. It also makes me think ‘western’ but that’s not a bad thing.
