Help! Leonora or Theresa?

As our second baby girl is due any day now we still can’t decide on the name…or the middle name. My husband is pretty useless (only when making name-decisions ; ), I guess he can be persuaded either way.

The big sister’s name is ‘[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]’ and our surname is starts with a K…please help us - so far people we who have commented are 50/50 concerning

[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]
or
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f]

???

[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] & [name_f]Leonora[/name_f].

I know quite a few [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]'s/[name_f]Therese[/name_f]'s, it would be great to come across a little girl by the name of [name_f]Leonora[/name_f].

Personally I prefer [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]/[name_f]Lenora[/name_f] over [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] but I think that as pretty as [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is with a big sister [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] then I would choose [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] better.
Names that I think would fit with [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]

I really want to love [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] since is a family name, but I just can’t see it on a child. I also prefer [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] or [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] to [name_f]Leonora[/name_f].

I think I prefer Theresa. I adore the nickname Tess and Tessa. I love Eleonora, but I’m not sure if I like dropping the E. Still, it’s lovely.
Both names go very well with Emilia, so I think here really what you must do is follow your heart!

Leonora Constance
Leonora Grace
Leonora Rose
Leonora June

Theresa Adelaide
Theresa Alice
Theresa Allegra
Theresa Amalia/Amelia/Amelie
Theresa Anne
Theresa Claire
Theresa Constance
Theresa Everleigh
Theresa Faye
Theresa Florence
Theresa Grace
Theresa Harriet
Theresa Ivy
Theresa Jane
Theresa Lilly
Theresa Louise
Theresa Quinn
Theresa Victoire
Theresa Violet (I know a Tessa Violet, she’s lovely)
Theresa Willow

I prefer [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] because I love the nn [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f], though I do think [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is pretty too.
Middle names I like with [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]:
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] (Mother [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] is just too incredible a namesake to not love it) and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is overly frilly to me. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] are perfect!

[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is beautiful!!

Another vote for [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]. [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] feels too ornate with [name_f]Emilia[/name_f].

Thanks a lot for the middle name suggestions - right now I especially love ‘[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]’, as '[name_f]Louise[/name_f] is my husband’s grandma’s name and ‘[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]’.

Somehow there seem to be less middle names that go with ‘[name_f]Leonora[/name_f]’ although the 50/50 trend continues

I love [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] with [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], even though [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is a great name.
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]

[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful, and the family connection makes it even more wonderful!

[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is the winner for me.

[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is a wonderful name!

I prefer [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], and I like that it has a lot of nickname possibilities. Want something sweet and feminine? She’s a [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Want something unusual and chic? She’s [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. There’s also the longer option of [name_f]Leonie[/name_f].

I am not crazy about [name_f]Theresa[/name_f], possibly because all the Theresas I know are late-middle-aged. I am a fan of [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] as nns, though

Thank you very much everybody - my husband said Yes to [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and now I feel very good about it…although my best friend is begging to reconsider it ; )

Maybe we’ll have a [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], too, one day, although it sure doesn’t feel like it right now, being 39 weeks pregnant…

[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] gets my vote! So pretty and more exotic, similar to the feel of [name_f]Emilia[/name_f].
