Absolutely 100% keeping: [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
The rest of the list:
(I want a top solid top 5, so select 2 from these!)
[name_f]Della[/name_f] – I really love the classy, vintage feel! It is also pretty short, and easy to say and spell. Not sure if it is a name I can totally picture on a future daughter.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] – I can’t decide between these cheerful, lovely names, and I’m not even sure if I can see myself using either… I also really don’t like the nickname [name_u]Lu[/name_u]. Could I avoid that? I already know a little [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], which puts me off a bit. Are [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] way too close for brother and sister?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] – I would use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in a heartbeat, but I have never found a middle name that I am completely satisfied with. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is beautiful, but I worry I would just call her [name_f]Rose[/name_f] anyway. Also, [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] is on my boy list and I don’t know if I could do [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] together. (A bit too [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for me.)
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] – A name both my mama and I love, which is a rare occurrence! I love that it is Biblical and sounds very friendly! It is just kind of long and I don’t know if I am sold on [name_f]Susie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sosie[/name_f].
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] – I have loved [name_f]Anya[/name_f] forever, but it has a different vibe to me. Almost a bit cold sounding.
I think the names I have the least issues with are [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], and [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], but then almost all of my favorite girl names end in -a and that really bothers me for some reason. Ugh.
What would you pick, and what other names would you suggest to go with [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]?
With [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u], I’m voting for:
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] - for me, it feels light, pretty and friendly! Maybe it’s the [name_f]Anya[/name_f] I knew, but I’ve never thought of it as cold. It has the same international feel as [name_u]Marie[/name_u] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] in particular
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] - elegant, sunny and meaningful! [name_f]Sanna[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] and [name_f]Suki[/name_f] came to mind as nickname alternatives. (Plus, since you’ve got [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] for boys, I think the length is fine!!)
With [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], my suggestions would be:
[name_f]Della[/name_f] – She feels ever so slightly mid-century but still fresh, which is the feel I get from [name_u]Marie[/name_u] and [name_u]June[/name_u] especially.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] – Timeless and ties [name_f]Clara[/name_f] into the set. I do see your hesitation with [name_u]Rudy[/name_u], but I still think they’re fine together. And I don’t think it’s worth it to cross it off your list due to lack of a perfect middle name when you clearly love it!
Honorable mentions to [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] (a personal favorite) and [name_f]Anya[/name_f] (which you have really sold me on through your love for it!)
I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] with [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I’d also suggest:
I would choose [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I love the timeless feel of these five sister names together. For other suggestions, I would go for little white dress names. Versatile like the little black dress but a little softer and little more flounce.
I think you should keep [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on your list! Does [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] rank high on your list? If yes, it might be a lot with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (not with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] though). If not, I don’t see any problem with any of the names.
[name_f]My[/name_f] runner-up choice would be [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] since you (and your mum!) seem to love it so much. It’s hard getting the parents on board with the name lol.
If I had to pick a name, then I would choose:
[name_f]Diana[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
I normally would’ve chosen [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] but I love how [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] sounds with the rest of the names.
I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Anya[/name_f], so I’d pick those; I also think they’re wonderful with [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Marie[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f], especially with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] they feel perfect.
I also really like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it’s sweet and melodic, feels youthful but not childish.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] feels too serious for me next to fun [name_u]June[/name_u].
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] I find a bit weak for some reason; it’s less than the sum of its parts for me and I prefer both [name_f]Prim[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on their own or as nicknames for other names.
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] always gives me a very “oh Susannah” vibe which I’m not super fond of personally.
[name_f]Della[/name_f] makes me think of surnames such as “de la Rosa”, so just [name_f]Della[/name_f] feels incomplete to me.
With [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Marie[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] I would pick [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and I love the fresh springiness she brings to your list without adding another -a name! Since she’s not a very public figure anymore, I think the [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] association is steadily evaporating. Does she act anymore, anyway? I think [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are perfection for siblings. That’s so so charming.
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] - Absolutely beautiful—and I love that you and your mama both love it. That easily sells me on a name, too. The Biblical connection, the meaning, the sound… they all just win. This name feels so at home on your list. Really, really perfect. Perhaps [name_f]Zanna[/name_f], [name_f]Sue[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Una[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f], or [name_f]Nan[/name_f] (my favorite, personally) as a nickname?
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - Oh, this beautiful name. I think she’s definitely a great fit with the other names you love! I imagine [name_u]Lu[/name_u] would be avoidable. I personally wouldn’t call a [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] by [name_u]Lu[/name_u] unless she introduced herself as that. I find [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lula[/name_f] more intuitive and nice, personally.
I do find [name_f]Anya[/name_f] (could this be a good [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] nickname? It’s a bit of a stretch, but hear me out…) and [name_f]Della[/name_f] a bit different to the feelings of your other names. They’re both sweet, very sweet, but they don’t ‘go’ so much. [name_f]Anya[/name_f], however, does ‘go’ a bit more than [name_f]Della[/name_f] to me! [name_f]Anya[/name_f] individually with any of your other names feels just right—especially with [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. These could make a grand trio.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - it fits better with your keeps than [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - fits better and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is too close to [name_u]Rudy[/name_u]. You can avoid [name_u]Lu[/name_u] easily. Other NN could be [name_u]Isa[/name_u] or [name_u]Izzy[/name_u].
[name_f]Delia[/name_f] is gorgeous! I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are nice too, though I’ve known an awful lot of young Lucys. [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are fine together.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a challenge as a first. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]?
I sincerely doubt that a [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] would go by [name_f]Rose[/name_f] unless she preferred it.
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] is lovely.
I dislike [name_f]Anya[/name_f] as it sounds whiny and cold to me.
What about [name_f]Delia[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] as a full first name? [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]?
