[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f]!
I voted [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] though I prefer it without the ‘e’. Maybe use [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] instead? From your other names I also like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (I adore this with nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u]!), [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (maybe as a middle? [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m]?) and [name_f]Maia[/name_f]. I personally find [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] too old fashioned (it makes me think of the old lady on Coronation [name_m]Street[/name_m]) and I’m afraid I don’t like Shallah at all.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite would be [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. It’s a lovely name which has been around for a lot of time and it is not trendy at all. Personally, I would put an honor name in the middle, but the decision is yours. Also I like the sound of [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is my second choice. It may be a bit too popular for you, but otherwise I like it.
I like [name_f]Maia[/name_f], but it worries me that [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is so much more common. I have a similar concern with [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f]: how exactly do you pronounce it?
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is not my style, but I think it has its charm.
I love both [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], but I’ll vote for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] since husband isn’t keen on [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
These are my favs!
I voted for [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. It’s classic, pretty and underused on babies born today.
I wouldn’t use [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. It’s very pretty, but [name_m]Hill[/name_m] is a word name and it’s always a bit jarring to pair two word names together. Another poster had suggested [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]. If you are open to it, I do second that suggestion. It has the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] feel without being a word name.
Top Three Picks
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanore[/name_f]
I am voting [name_f]Maia[/name_f].
I voted for [name_f]Diana[/name_f], a beautiful classic that is not over-popular. I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Maia[/name_f] but they are pretty popular (the [name_f]Maya[/name_f] spelling is). [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is nice, don’t care for the -e on the end though. I voted for [name_f]Diana[/name_f] because I like the family connection too!
Thank you for the feedback, everyone!!
I must say, [name_f]Diana[/name_f] really does make a pretty middle name. We were thinking of using a Japanese middle name because we’re having the baby in Japan, but you might just have convinced me otherwise.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m] has a certain ring to it, eh?
I agree about how jarring it is to have two word names. I guess I hadn’t been thinking of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] as the noun! Other names like [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], etc. got thrown out the window because it makes the kid sound like a landmark.
I voted for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] as I think it’s a truly beautiful name. I also like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (with this spelling) and I don’t mind [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
I really, really love [name_f]Diana[/name_f]! So classic and yet unexpected. [name_m]Even[/name_m] better that it honors your mom!
I like a 3 syllable first name to go with a 1 syllable surname.
I vote for [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] [name_f]Diane[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m].
^I agree with mayday!
I voted for [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f], but I also like [name_f]Maia[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
I absolutely love the way the 3-syllable and 1-syllable pattern of [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m] or [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_m]Hill[/name_m] sounds. Those would be my top two picks! And I think the idea of a Japanese middle name is really sweet.
Hmm.
I really like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Diana[/name_f] - and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (without the E) is one of my absolute favourites. I feel that with the extra ‘e’ she will be respelling her name quite often! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]? I don’t personally quite get the appeal of [name_f]Maia[/name_f], but it’s perfectly nice. I don’t like Shallah - and I don’t like the idea of naming children after video games - art, literature and history sure - games not so much. Good luck!
Haha I’m inclined to agree with you there, although you could argue that video games are the new generation of art and literature, and perhaps will be viewed as such in the years to come! After all, novels were originally viewed as brain-wasting entertainment. However, I prefer a name that people will know rather than something so unique to the gaming world.
