I’m due in 7 weeks and really want to have a decision on both a boy and girl name so that I can settle into it and focus on other things. This is possible, right?!
This baby will have two big brothers, [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Noe[/name_m] [name_u]Winter[/name_u].
For girl names we keep going back and forth between [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I’ll feel really certain on one and then go back to the other and love it even more. I love the meaning and sound of both of them, so it makes deciding really hard.
For boys we love [name_u]Remi[/name_u] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and don’t have a middle name yet (maybe [name_m]Leon[/name_m] but I also love nature names).
I’d love to hear some thoughts on these names- thanks!
I prefer [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but with only 2 names I don’t think you need to pick one. When she comes, if she’s a she, you’ll know which is right for her.
I used to think [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] was an okay name, but that horrible epilogue in [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] ruined any chance it had for me. Also, I like [name_u]Remi[/name_u] better with [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_m]Noe[/name_m].
I prefer [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Also, you mentioned you liked the meanings of [name_f]Mira[/name_f] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f]. [name_f]Vera[/name_f] means ‘faith’. I don’t know if this means your religious, but if you are, [name_f]Vera[/name_f] would probably be far more meaningful.
I prefer [name_u]Remi[/name_u] over [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. If the name was [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], all three boys would have an O-sound-ending name. With just [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and [name_m]Noe[/name_m] it’s fine, but if you do it a third time, you start creating an irreversible theme.
I don’t really have any suggestions, but previous posters do, so check those out:).
I agree with the above posters.
I like [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] better than [name_f]Mira[/name_f], though I think waiting till you see her might make things clearer.
I also agree that [name_u]Remi[/name_u] seems to fit better with your set and not repeat the O theme.
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] [name_m]Leon[/name_m] sounds nice!
A few nature themed ones:
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] [name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] [name_u]Grove[/name_u]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] [name_u]Dune[/name_u]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] [name_m]Flint[/name_m]
Yes it’s [name_m]Noe[/name_m], like [name_u]Joey[/name_u].
Thanks for the votes. My husband now says he’s feeling [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] more than [name_u]Remi[/name_u], but thinks that the ‘right’ name is probably still out there. We both like short, soft sounding names and originally wanted a combination of [name_m]French[/name_m] and Jewish names.
If the right name is still out there, I hope we find it soon!
