Help me choose between two names?

I’m new here and I thought I might be able to get some input.

We’re having a girl after our 2 boys and we are completely stuck on 2 names. We love them both and are having a hard time making a decision.

Brothers names are [name_m]Kavan[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u].

The two names we need to decide between are:

[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Kristine[/name_f] or Annisten [name_u]Rae[/name_u].

Both [name_f]Kristine[/name_f] and [name_u]Rae[/name_u] are family names, as are the boys middle names.

We have a common two syllable last name.

I’d love some input and thoughts! Thanks!

Between these two I’d choose [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Kristine[/name_f].

I think Annisten would constantly be correcting the spelling of her name as most people (even my spell check) would assume it is [name_f]Anniston[/name_f]. If that were my name and situation that would annoy me. It also really makes me think of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_f]Anniston[/name_f] which makes the name seem very trendy and tied to pop culture.

[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] sounds more classic to my ears. Probably because I’ve known several people with the last name [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] so it isn’t too tied to one person for me.

Also, I kind of like how [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Kristine[/name_f] would have the K connection to her brothers. A third child with a K first name might be a bit too much but having her first name start with a K is subtle and I think it works!

Good luck to you! And you’re in a good position since you already love both names, that means you can’t go wrong!

I love Annisten! So original its not even on nameberry! flowermae has a point, there might be confusion, but it as simple as saying “e not o!” and she’d be set. Personally I also think that [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], cute as it can be, sounds a little to masculine, and I like that Annisten has a little been more femininity to it (though not too much!)
Good luck! Whatever you choose will be perfect

I prefer Annisten over [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. Annisten [name_u]Rae[/name_u] has a great ring to it! and i think calling it out sounds better with the siblings names. “[name_m]Kavan[/name_m], [name_u]Keaton[/name_u], Annisten!” vs “[name_m]Kavan[/name_m], [name_u]Keaton[/name_u], [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]” and I think [name_f]Anni[/name_f] (annie) is a cute nickname more so than [name_f]Ro/name_f for [name_u]Monroe[/name_u].

From your two favorites, my vote goes to Annisten. I’d prefer the spelling [name_f]Anniston[/name_f] though as well as the combo [name_f]Anniston[/name_f] [name_f]Kristine[/name_f].

Honestly, I don’t like either one. Both are very trendy. I would choose [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] over [name_f]Anniston[/name_f]. Here are a few alternatives:

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_u]Landry[/name_u]
[name_f]Kristine[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Keira[/name_f]

Thanks for the input! I’m leaning towards Annisten, although I absolutely love [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. And I’m willing to play around with spelling as well. I just think that the e looks more feminine than the o and it also looks less like [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] Aniston, which is definitely not why I choose the name.

And my name is Durrae. It doesn’t really bother me at all to have to correct spelling, and occasionally pronounciation. It’s a good ice breaker too!

Someone suggested [name_f]Annie[/name_f]-[name_u]Rae[/name_u] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]Rae[/name_u] as a nn and I thought it was really cute! And I’m in [name_u]Texas[/name_u], so it would fit right in lol.

I like Annisten [name_u]Rae[/name_u].
