Posting as I need help deciding on our third baby girls name.
Her older sisters are
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] (who we call Perrie)
We are super torn between [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and Daisy…
I like both but like to give a more formal name that they can use when they are older…
So maybe [name_f]Margot[/name_f] for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]?
[name_u]Or[/name_u] any other names I should consider with the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or daisy?
I think [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is great with your other girls! I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] would be beautiful formal versions for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]!
Ohhh I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]! We live in Australia though and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is the name of the state next to me. We actually briefly considered “Wednesday” too but ultimately decided it was maybe too trendy for us. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and going then with [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as nickname! What about [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (but you could only get Maggie) or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] / [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] (you get all of three! [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and Daisy)
If not possible, then [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] > [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] in my opinion as a full name
[name_f]Maggie[/name_f] + [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are lovely!
Looking at your shortlist I really like the idea of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. Honestly for me I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is perfect she has the formality you want, has the inbuilt nickname of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] but also has the nature vibe of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].
[name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] & [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] sound great
I’m pretty obsessed with the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. It’s so cheerful & vintage and has beautiful floral imagery. I think that it goes quite nicely with [name_f]Willa[/name_f] & [name_f]Perrie[/name_f]. I also think that [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] fits in well; maybe even better, but not by a lot. I think that [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] works fine on its own, but I also like it as a nn for [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]. As for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is my favorite. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] & [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] are also good. I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f], but I’m not sure if [name_f]Margot[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] feels quite right. I consider [name_f]Margot[/name_f] a bit nick-name-y on its own, you know?
I adore the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]! I know it’s already been said, but [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] as a full name gives you the option of either [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a nickname.
[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] or [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] are also options for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] but I’m not sure how well they fit in with your other daughters’ names. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] might be better in that regard.
Good luck with everything!!
I’ve got a cousin named [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (also occasionally Maggie) whose full name is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]! I think that would be lovely for you, as well as [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]!
Obviously, I like the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (given my screen name) and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] as well. They have a similar feel as the others.
Lately, with [name_f]Spring[/name_f] here, I’ve been digging the flower name [name_f]Jonquil[/name_f] as it’s a bit unusual and can have the nickname [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] or [name_f]Jonna[/name_f], if that’s something you’re interested in,
[name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are both nicknames for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], so you could go that way. I also think [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] goes well with [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is super cute too!
Ooooh I would have to say [name_f]Margot[/name_f] with the nickname of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. The Perrie-Maggie is a bit matchy matchy but I think it works.
