Help me come up with a nickname for Shannon

I’ve been considering making a name change (first considered legally changing first or middle name, but have since reconsidered and just want a nickname I can use).

First name is [name]Shannon[/name]. No great natural nicknames…not wild about [name]Ann[/name] or [name]Annie[/name] either.

Any really creative thoughts out there? Middle name is [name]Lynn[/name], maybe something could come from that?

[name]Hannah[/name] (or whatever spelling, like [name]Hana[/name]), [name]Si[/name]ân, [name]Shay[/name], [name]Sana[/name] or [name]Sanna[/name], [name]Sasha[/name], or [name]Seren[/name]?
I think [name]Si[/name]ân and [name]Sasha[/name] are pretty neat and not too far off from [name]Shannon[/name], so the transition would be easier. Obviously [name]Si[/name]ân could be difficult to deal with but it is worth a mention :slight_smile:

I’m fond of the nickname [name]Zanna[/name]…[name]Lucia[/name], your suggestions of [name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Sanna[/name] got my wheels turning. I think this could totally work for a “[name]Shannon[/name]” nickname. I feel like it could work for me! :slight_smile: I think it’s cute without being “cutesy” (which I’m not).

Upon thinking about this more, I’ve decided on [name]Sallie[/name]…my initials are SLL, so I think it’s not too big a stretch.

[name]How[/name] should I start to make this transition? [name]Will[/name] people think I’m weird for doing this? (Not that that will stop me…:slight_smile:
