Help me decide (poll)

Okay, bear with me on this one… This might sound a little vague, but I’d love your opinion.
There are two names I love for a boy that I might use if I ever have another son. I’m torn between the two. I won’t tell you the names because I don’t want you to be influenced by it, I just want your opinion on the situation. Some of you probably know the names I’m talking about, but please try to ignore that.
So…

Name 1: I absolutely adore this name, it’s beautiful and romantic, goes well with my older sons’ names and basically has everything I look for in a name.
Name 2: I love this name as well, but not as much as the first name. It’s close to my heart though. It’s a name that honors someone very close to me, is related to a family name and has a nickname I love.

Which one should I use?

I say choose what you love – mixing guilt and fidelity into the naming process can be so easy, but I sincerely believe in the importance of choosing a name you love rather than one you feel bound by. You can always use the middle name slot for an honor anyway.

Thank you. It’s not exactly that I feel guilt for not using the other name. I truly love both names. And nobody expects me to use the the second name, there’s no pressure from anyone (except myself I guess :roll_eyes:). It’s just that I love the first name a tiny bit more, but it not being honor name gives the second name an advantage. Anyway, I’m just overthinking again, that’s just what I do :grin:
