I know I have a style of names I like, but I’m struggling to describe/name it. My taste for girls names is more diverse compared to my taste for boys, which makes it difficult. I’ll link two of my name lists here and let you wonderful berries come up with adjectives for it, because, I’ve proven myself to be useless at it!
Based on the names in your signature, I would say modern classics and returning classics.
Most of these names are on-trend and cute. The returning classics are names like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] which was out for long time (like circa 89 lots of Allisons but not a lot of Alices) and are coming back.
Good luck and [name_f]Merry[/name_f] [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] to you too! (If you celebrate it)
Without reading the previous poster’s comments first - I would describe your taste in much the same way…with a little bit of spunk thrown in!
It’s funny that you’ve posted this, I was wondering the same of my taste just a few days ago. It’s a little all over the place, especially for girl names - some very frilly, like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]…some crisp, and even masculine, like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Collins[/name_u]. All of these are in my top ten! I have noticed one, very specific taste…I do not generally like nicknames. Most of my favorite names have no intuitive nicknames…and I prefer the formal version of virtually all of the ones that do ([name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is the exception here, I would call her [name_f]Lola[/name_f]).
Oh, and [name_f]Merry[/name_f] [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] to you too! Tis the season!
