I voted for the first option, but I don’t really think it’s ‘awesome’-- I don’t think it’s ideal, but I like alliteration a lot. [name]Tessa[/name]/[name]Tess[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], though, is bad. [name]Tessa[/name] should be a family nickname, at most.
I was just reading through one of my baby name books last night and I got to the list on alliterative names and realized how much I like them. I think [name]Theresa[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] sounds great, and [name]Tess[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] works for me as well. For some reason I’m not a fan of [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Tyson[/name]- maybe the 2 syllable/ 2 syllable combo doesn’t sound quite as nice to my ear.
I think that a good thing about the name is that it’s memorable. You’re more likely to remember a [name]Theresa[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], and that might give her an edge.
No I don’t actually like [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] either. It would mostly be [name]Theresa[/name] or [name]Tess[/name] with occasional [name]Tessa[/name] around the house. I keep trying to imagine her introducing herself and want to make sure that she’ll feel self confident. We haven’t typically liked alliteration but I’d like to name her something we both love.
I just wanted to bump this up to get some more opinions. We’ve basically eliminated it from contention b/c of the T-s T-s repition but I still feel like I won’t find another name I love as much.
I think [name]Theresa[/name] Tys0n is fine but [name]Tess[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] sounds a little bit like a stutter (like [name]Tom[/name] [name]Thomson[/name]) and [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] is awkward too (maybe because of the 2 syllable-2 syllable thing). But the name in full, [name]Theresa[/name] Tys0n is good.
