[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m expecting a baby boy in [name_f]October[/name_f], our first baby. I’m having a hard time finding a name that I really love, one that really speaks to me.
Our top contender is [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. I do like it a lot, I feel like it sounds very friendly and would be handsome as he grows older. I just don’t know if it’s the one.
Other names that we like, but I don’t think DH is 100% sure about any of them:
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is also a nice alternative to [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. It’s less common but fits your aesthetic.
I do love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], though. It’s such a handsome name, great for a little boy and an adult. [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] or [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] is a great idea if you wanted a longer name to be attached to it.
[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u] is also a longer name you can shorten to [name_u]Finn[/name_u]?
Similar to [name_u]Finn[/name_u], in that they are short, friendly-sounding and would be handsome as he grows older, I like - [name_m]Boyd[/name_m], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] & [name_u]Beau[/name_u].
I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] on its own without a long form. I had a [name_u]Finn[/name_u] MacCool book when I was little that I loved and it would be fun to give a little boy. Maybe looking at name meanings or famous people with the name will help you get more attached to one?
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Kieran[/name_u]!
I am the mom of a “[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]” (named before “Legends of the Fall” ever came out and, in my opinion, a name that is both strong and romantic – as is [name_u]Kieran[/name_u]) and the grandma of a 4-year-old boy named “[name_f]Marin[/name_f].” Yes, [name_f]Marin[/name_f] (meaning “of the sea”) IS a boy’s name used in [name_f]France[/name_f] and popular in Croatia. (There’s a famous male tennis player named [name_f]Marin[/name_f]. Also, the little country of San [name_m]Marino[/name_m] was named after [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_f]Marin[/name_f] – a man. I keep trying to get this website to list the name as for either gender. They categorize it as a girl’s name despite all the famous male Marins they list under the name!)
Other [name_m]French[/name_m] strong/romantic male names to consider: [name_m]Loic[/name_m] (pronounced LOH -ik)and [name_m]Mael[/name_m] (pronounced liked the word “Mile,” with the female version being “[name_f]Maelle[/name_f]” – pronounced my- [name_f]ELLE[/name_f])
My son’s name is [name_m]Colten[/name_m]. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] are two contenders for baby #2. I’m really liking these names too:
Oaklen (falling in love with this name, but its definitely different!)
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m]
Everton
[name_m]Whittaker[/name_m]
[name_m]Merrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_m]Rawlins[/name_m]
[name_m]Brigham[/name_m] ([name_m]Briggs[/name_m])
Here are some ideas:
[name_m]Nigel[/name_m]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m]
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u]
[name_u]Dillon[/name_u]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_u]Blaine[/name_u]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] is amazing! I like the suggestions of [name_u]Finley[/name_u], [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] and [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] and use [name_u]Finn[/name_u] as a nickname
