DH and I have 2 girls [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] with another little girl on the way. [name_m]Both[/name_m] girls were named using family names. I would like to carry on that tradition and use the middle name [name_u]Rae[/name_u] after my grandmother.
DH’s favorite name (and he’s seriously putting on pissy pants about this) is Ahsoka which is a [name_m]Jedi[/name_m]'s name in [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars Clone Wars the cartoon. My DD1 was her for Halloween. I looked up the origin which is [name_f]Asian[/name_f], Ashoka is a boy’s name that comes from some ancient emperor that conquered a lot of area. (if I recall correctly). Our last name is super Italian, so I am looking for a name that ends in A, sounds good with [name_u]Rae[/name_u], and has a similar sound to it as Ahsoka.
I turned down [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] because I didn’t want to go with a beloved cartoon character’s name (in our house at least), so naturally his next pic is yet another cartoon character!
[name_f]Mireya[/name_f] and [name_f]Soraya[/name_f] both have an exotic, “[name_m]Jedi[/name_m]” feel, and can lend to the nickname [name_u]Rae[/name_u].
[name_f]Leia[/name_f] is a lovely name if he’s insistent upon a SW name.
Hm. Something feminine like [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] that has a similar sound to Ashoka?! Wow! What about a name with a similar rhythm?
