[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries! Lately I am really stuck on my favorites list, I keep adding restrictions until nothing feels right. Right now I am hunting for ethereal names - the kind you would assume some medieval enchantress has in a fantasy novel; mystical, magical, enchanting and bewitching names that are very sparkly and feminissima or clunky but shimmery. (Of course my taste will differ from yours but I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with!)
OOoh, I love ethereal names so much so that all my favorite name even sound like the word ethereal. I’ll try not to repeat, but I love a lot of the suggestions already!
Cytheria
Eleutheria
Zosteria
Illyria
Anakalypteria
Other thoughts:
I’m surprised @ottilie didn’t list Tinuviel - to me this fits the bill perfectly
To me [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and Ostara fit the bill. Or if it suits your feminissima criteria better perhaps [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celestina[/name_f].
Such a beautiful names, all in three posts. [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Cristina[/name_f] and moonkai you have incredible taste. Have nothing to add myself, just sitting here and swoon.

[name_f]Tacita[/name_f]

[name_f]Araminta[/name_f]
[name_f]Sibylla[/name_f]
Rohesia
[name_f]Lucretia[/name_f]
[name_f]Fidelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amoret[/name_f]
[name_f]Lysistrata[/name_f]
[name_f]Arcadia[/name_f]
Allifair
Ludovine
[name_f]Ortensia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hestia[/name_f]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
Cecylle (how [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_m]Neville[/name_m] spelled her own name. it seems much more medieval to me than [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], which is also gorgeous)
I love Belphoebe and [name_f]Swanilda[/name_f] from your list.
@[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]- so many beautiful suggestions! You always come up with so many names I’ve never even heard of. I have a full-on name crush on Esclarimonde now… I’m pronouncing it es-clair-ih-mawn-day? And Aethelwyne and Etheldreda, they look Old English to me but again I have no clue about pronunciation. I love the story of St Etheldreda though.
@moonkai- Anakalypteria looks so cool; how is it pronounced?!
Yes, [name_f]Melusine[/name_f] and [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] are definitely on the list for middles now. =)
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Branwen[/name_f], [name_f]Lysistrata[/name_f], Allifair, [name_f]Garnet[/name_f], [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f], [name_f]Iseult[/name_f], [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f], [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and [name_f]Arcadia[/name_f]. [name_f]Arcadia[/name_f] actually has special meaning to my family but even so, they vetoed it.
I love [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f] but the way I pronounce it is lu-CRAY-zee-uh, so “crazy” unfortunately stands out. I should try saying lu-CRAY-juh.
@bonfireazalea - I studied ancient Greek so I say ah-nah-kah-lip-tay-ree-ah
It means “unveiling”
I am sure it would be pronounced differently in modern Greek. @Dantea?
Is this a real little girl or list building at this point?
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]- a wonderful old name in the style of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f] meaning Gift of [name_f]Isis[/name_f].
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]- Another name that pays homage to an old pagan god. But with a golden age of Hollywood glint.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]- leaves set trees on fire. Pumpkins scare off ghosts.
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]- Is there anything more magical then a crisp [name_u]Winter[/name_u] morning in the [name_f]Snow[/name_f]?
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]- [name_m]German[/name_m] legend this is king of the bird.
