Can any of you lovely name lovers help me look through some ideas for the next baby?
I’m looking for something that’s either:
Hebrew
Latin (but no -us names)
English
Scandinavian / Norse
[name_m]German[/name_m]
Native American
Maybe Celtic or Gaelic
Ideally 3 syllables
cannot be an English word (I like [name_m]Valor[/name_m] & [name_m]Fox[/name_m] for example)
Not in the top US 100 specifically, nothing crazy out there but I don’t want the child to come across anyone with their name ideally, we know so many boys also so I’m veryok with something uncommon as long as I can point at it somewhere and say yes it’s a solid name with a solid meaning and I like that meaning
I like:
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]
[name_u]Sequoia[/name_u]
[name_m]Hamish[/name_m]
[name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_m]Valor[/name_m]
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_u]Eliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Forest[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Lochlainn[/name_m]
[name_m]Reynard[/name_m]
Zekiah
~But none of them seem really right to me
MUST start with:
A
B maybe
F
I ”
K
R ”
T ”
Z MAYBE
Must be able to shorten the name somehow to a nn ending in an -ey sound that starts with the same letter as the name (ex. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is [name_u]Sully[/name_u], [name_m]Abelard[/name_m] could be Ardy)
Have fun, be creative (in a subtle way though) & thanks!
Oh and give names, origin, meaning & any references for the name that come to mind if you can! (I can do a search based on my needs but I’m looking to find what you all have in your minds that maybe I wouldn’t see and think it was the one or maybe one I wouldn’t come across.)
