[name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]
These are the top two contenders right now although I’m not in LOVE with either yet. Which do you like better and why?? Also any suggestions for other names would be appreciated

[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to Nameberry!
If I had to pick just one, I would pick [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], but I don’t think you can go wrong either way.
Have you considered:
Whoa, I love both of those names! [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] reminds me of [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Crusher, which is such a sweet association, and [name_m]William[/name_m] feels so classic and grand. If I had to pick, I’d pick [name_m]William[/name_m] for the nickname potential (Will and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] are super on-trend right now). Also, here’s a shameless promotion for my latest name crush, which is [name_f]Willow[/name_f] on a boy, most likely nicknamed [name_m]Will[/name_m]. Those are both incredible names and I really don’t think you can go wrong!
[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to NB!
Depends what you want. [name_m]William[/name_m] is classic and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is on the trendier side. I think [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is the better of the two just because there are so many [name_m]Williams[/name_m]! But I prefer unusual names.
Others:
[name_m]Winslow[/name_m]
[name_m]Winston[/name_m]
[name_m]Wallace[/name_m]
[name_m]Weaver[/name_m]
Wesley!!
Rugged, cool and fresh, but surname-y and established too, with a sweet, nature-y meaning, and the nicknames [name_m]Wes[/name_m] and [name_m]Wells[/name_m].
[name_m]William[/name_m] is a solid classic, a safe, versatile choice, with plenty of nickname options and history and also well loved. Not a personal fave and it doesn’t give off the charm of [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] for me, but it’s still a good choice.
You can’t go wrong here, but, since you’re not in love with either, I’ll suggest:
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m]
[name_m]Willoughby[/name_m]
[name_m]Winston[/name_m]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_m]Wallace[/name_m]
[name_m]Webster[/name_m]
[name_m]Warren[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Evan[/name_m]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_m]Robin[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_m]Callahan[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Donovan[/name_m]
[name_m]Alec[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Hudson[/name_m]
These are two stunning names!
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m], which is on my shortlist (I love him) is just the loveliest name. He reminds she of The [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Bride[/name_f], and he is soft, romantic, dreamy, and has such a whimsical sound. To me, he seems like wind through tall green grass, water rippling, and birdsong (strengthened by his meaning- Western Meadow.) A gentlemanly name, but with a feminine touch!
[name_m]William[/name_m] is a classic you cannot go wrong with. He feels warm, gentle, sweet, and mature, with a touch of flair, and I love his potential nicknames: [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_f]Billie[/name_f], [name_m]Wilkie[/name_m], [name_m]Wiley[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], Wells…They would really allow a [name_m]William[/name_m] to have a name that suits whatever personality he has!
I prefer [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], but both are great!
I love both!
I’ve never met a [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] in real life but when I was a kid, I heard it in [name_m]Power[/name_m] Rangers / [name_m]Bachelor[/name_m] Pad (weird combination I know) and I thought it was so cool! He was my top boy name for a while and though my style has changed over the years, I still love it!
[name_m]William[/name_m] is classic - I grew up with a few [name_m]Williams[/name_m] in both mine and my brother’s grades so I love [name_m]Will[/name_m] and [name_m]Billy[/name_m] as nicknames. It’s also close-ish to my last name so I may be a little biased!
They were both age really well and are really nice names, if I had to choose just one, I’d go [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]!
