So I’ve seen a few of you mention that you like/love this name and I would love to hear more praise for it!
[name_f]Anthea[/name_f] was my grandmother’s name and we were inseparable when I was growing up. I would love to honour her but I’ve always struggled to love her name? I have [name_f]Althea[/name_f] on my list and I love the sound and meaning but it doesn’t feel like a direct enough honour.
Plus I’ve recently fallen in love with the nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f] (which is what my grandad used to call her - cute!) and I don’t love any other An- names. Which got me thinking… could this be the one?
Middle would be [name_f]May[/name_f] to honour MIL.
It’s not my personal taste tbh but it is uncommon, it has that going for it:) [name_f]Annie[/name_f] or [name_u]Anne[/name_u] are lovely nicknames but [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is GORGEOUS. And ‘Thee’ would also be a sweet nn.
Your grandmother’s name was [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]? You’re so lucky! I loved both of my grandmothers, but their names, [name_f]Annette[/name_f] & [name_f]Pauline[/name_f], are just not for me. [name_f]Anthea[/name_f] is gorgeous. It’s strong & elegant, but not too bold. It’s super unique, but not complicated. It has a little bit of mystic to it. And the nns [name_f]Annie[/name_f] & [name_f]Thea[/name_f] are both awesome choices. I would pick [name_f]Anthea[/name_f] in a heart beat if I were you. [name_f]Anthea[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is perfect.
Anthea is a powerful, unique and adventurous name! So beautiful! So interesting! [name_f]Althea[/name_f] is a gorgeous alternative to honor your grandmother too. They’re extremely similar.
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] is the cutest nickname and [name_f]May[/name_f] sounds lovely as a middle name.
Annie or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] would be amazing nicknames or to be totally honest I think you could use either of them as full names and still say you’re honouring [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]
