Our second daughter is due in 8 weeks, and it has been the most difficult thing for us to come up with a first name, let alone a middle name!
Our top choices are [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Aletta[/name]
Our first daughter has my husband’s mother’s mn for her mn.
So we’d like to use my mother’s first or middle. . or create something between the two because we don’t particularly like either of her names. Sorry Mom!
Her name is [name]Brenda[/name] [name]Faye[/name]. Is there anything I can create from those?
I think [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Faye[/name] and [name]Aletta[/name] [name]Faye[/name] sound. . not ‘us’
I am not a huge fan of smooshing names, but what about taking “[name]Ren[/name]” from [name]Brenda[/name] and using it or [name]Wren[/name] as a middle? [name]Both[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] and [name]Aletta[/name] [name]Wren[/name] sound nice.
[name]Baye[/name]? I love [name]Baye[/name] and I think both [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Baye[/name] and [name]Aletta[/name] [name]Baye[/name] sound beautiful.
Personally I adore the more distinctive [name]Aletta[/name], although classic [name]Amelia[/name] is lovely too!
I love the suggestions of [name]Baye[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] as MNs! I adore [name]Aletta[/name] and I think both mns are so charming with it. The only other thing I can think of is if you would use two MNs, using the initials BF… like [name]Aletta[/name] [name]Bryony[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] or [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Bridget[/name] [name]Fiona[/name]?
What about using a name with the same meaning as [name]Faye[/name] or [name]Brenda[/name] or the first letter (B or F)?
[name]Just[/name] to get a better idea of your style, what is your first daughters name?
What’s your mom’s maiden name? Or what’s her favorite flower? A favorite town or city of hers? There are other ways to honor a person without using their name.
Using [name]Brenda[/name] and [name]Faye[/name] for influences, middle name suggestions that I have are:
[name]Brenna[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] / [name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Day[/name]
[name]Fabiana[/name] (sort of has the sounds of [name]Fay[/name] and [name]Brenda[/name] in there)
[name]Fabienne[/name]
[name]Fayette[/name]
You could also ask your mom what some of her favorite names are for inspiration, too.
I’d second #benton’s_mama’s suggestions, also your mum’s birthstone? & look at other maternal family names/connections - great grandparents/origins etc.
Otherwise [name]Faye[/name] means fairy, so you could look at names with the same meaning. I did a quick search and got: [name]Ella[/name], [name]Pari[/name], [name]Parisa[/name], [name]Peri[/name], [name]Pixie[/name], [name]Tiana[/name].
in spanish fay and fe are pronounced the same way… fe means [name]Faith[/name]… so maybe faith???
[name]Fay[/name] means fairy or Elf… other names that mean this are [name]Tianna[/name], [name]Tanya[/name], [name]Elwyn[/name], [name]Livvy[/name], olivia, [name]Avery[/name]
Also [name]Brenda[/name] means Sword… other names that mean sword are [name]Brenna[/name] and Katana.
