Hello, I’d love some help naming our 3rd boy as we’re really stuck on what to call him. Currently on our list are:
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] - I really like this but a lot of people don’t. It’s not common in the UK but I know it’s in the top 100 in the US.
[name_m]Jenson[/name_m] - We’ve had this on our list all 3 times, however I worry now that it’s getting quite popular?
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] - I like this name a lot, I think we’d call him [name_m]Raff[/name_m] or [name_m]Raffi[/name_m]. But does it go as well as the others?
[name_m]Quenton[/name_m] - I quite like this mainly due to the nickname being [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] (My husband isn’t sold at all though).
If I had to pick from the options above, I’d go with [name_u]Easton[/name_u]. It just “goes” with [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u] in my opinion! All very handsome names though
Of your options, I agree that [name_u]Easton[/name_u] seems to “fit” with [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Jenson[/name_m] is pretty cool, and I think it goes well with the brothers. [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_m]Quenton[/name_m] don’t feel quite right, but you may like them as middle names.
Some other ideas:
[name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
[name_m]Colton[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
My personal favorites for you are [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], and [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. I think that having a name ending in a different sound than the other two boys makes it special enough but still fitting the vibe of the others. I think doing a “rhymey” name with one of the other boys may make one name seem a little out of the loop (if that makes sense).
I agree that it goes the best & I feel it links in the name [name_u]Parker[/name_u] nicely, which is quite American sounding. So hard deciding - I also like [name_u]Noah[/name_u], but it’s way too popular now
Thank you! I agree that [name_u]Easton[/name_u] goes the best & I feel it links in the name [name_u]Parker[/name_u] nicely, which is quite American sounding. So hard deciding - I also like [name_u]Noah[/name_u], but it’s way too popular now
Aw that’s exciting you’re having your 3rd boy too! What are your boys called? Have you managed to whittle down a name yet for baby 3?
I agree that [name_u]Easton[/name_u] goes best with my son’s names. Funnily enough our [name_u]Parker[/name_u] was very nearly a [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] - I still like the name a lot too. So hard to choose…
Thank you for your ideas! [name_u]Easton[/name_u] does seem to fit in nicely doesn’t it? We know someone who has the last name [name_u]Easton[/name_u], so I wonder if that’s affecting my decision a bit even though both [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] (spelt [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]) & [name_u]Parker[/name_u] are also last names. We had [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] on our list last time & I love [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] too (especially [name_m]Wes[/name_m]), but there was a guy on a tacky show here called [name_u]Love[/name_u] Island with that name which put me off it.
I think [name_u]Easton[/name_u] or [name_u]Jensen[/name_u] go best with the other boy’s names!
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is wonderful, but it does have the same “y” ending sound as [name_u]Finlay[/name_u], if that matters. I don’t think [name_u]Jensen[/name_u] is overly popular (in the US, anyway). I only know of one and he’s two now and he was the first [name_u]Jensen[/name_u] I’d ever heard of!
All really great names, though!
Thank you! In the UK [name_m]Jenson[/name_m] is a lot more popular than [name_u]Easton[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Jenson[/name_m] is in the top 60, whereas [name_u]Easton[/name_u] doesn’t seem to even be in the top 500 from my searches? Crazy that. But I wonder if it’s a name that might take off here later… I’m always a bit worried about future employers etc. too. But I don’t think [name_u]Easton[/name_u] sounds ‘low brow’ as one person suggested to me… [name_m]Ah[/name_m]!
Another vote for [name_u]Easton[/name_u] and [name_u]Jensen[/name_u]! I wouldn’t be concerned that some have indicated that they don’t care for [name_u]Easton[/name_u] as it may be that it isn’t a well known name where you live, and they aren’t name nerds like most of us on here, ha! Other suggestions, if these don’t work out…
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] goes really nicely with the two big brother names! Totally understand if you guys want to avoid a popular name, but you never know. All of the other parents in his class year might be doing the same exact thing, avoiding popular names… And then no one gets a [name_u]Noah[/name_u]! Who knows, he could be the only one in his class.
Agree that an above poster that [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_m]Quenton[/name_m] doen’t feel right.
I think that’s it, it’s not very well known over here & I don’t know any others with this name. Part of me worries it might take off soon though and fly up the name charts. [name_u]Easton[/name_u] could be the ‘new’ [name_m]Jenson[/name_m]? Overthinking it probably! It’s strange as in the US threads I’ve read about the name [name_u]Easton[/name_u] everyone seems to prefer [name_m]Weston[/name_m] because it sounds less “made up”?? I don’t understand that either…
Ooh I love [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] from your list
That is so true! I actually don’t know any [name_u]Noah[/name_u]‘s either personally even though it’s in the top 5 here and has been for several years now. Although I have heard it once or twice when out & about. I think it goes so nicely with my boys’ names too… I might mull it over some more…
I actually think [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] goes great with [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u]. [name_m]Quinton[/name_m] is the one that doesn’t seem to fit as well, but I do love [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] and sets don’t have to “fit”. [name_m]Jenson[/name_m] does seem to be growing in popularity, but I don’t think its any more popular than [name_m]Fin[/name_m] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u], so I wouldn’t let that deter me. [name_u]Easton[/name_u] is common in the US, but if you are in the UK, I wouldn’t worry too much.
I think as a sibset I prefer [name_m]Jenson[/name_m], but [name_m]Jones[/name_m], Jence, koller (and Kohler) are other surnames that I have seen lately and turned out cute
