I’m pregnant and on hospital bed rest with my first son. My water broke at 19 weeks and we are trying to meet our goal of 34 weeks being inducing, if he doesn’t come before then. That being said, this baby boy is a fighter! We love unique and want a strong sounding name to go with our strong boy. We quickly agreed on [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] for the first name, but can’t decide on his middle. Help us choose!
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
or
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u]
Thanks!
I like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. Good luck!
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]! Very handsome and strong.
Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy!
I have never heard of the water breaking so early and the doctor waiting so long. There is concerns after 24 hours of the water breaking.
That aside, I prefer [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. I adore [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], it is meaningful to my family. I don’t think I would have the guts to use it as a first name. Would love to meet an [name_m]Atlas[/name_m].
This is why I’m in the hospital to contantly monitor for infections. The first week I was here I was on tons of antibiotics. It’s called PPROM (preterm premature rupture of membranes) if you’re curious
I see you have changed your first post to HOSPITAL bed rest. You stated bed rest before. I have heard of preterm premature rupture of membranes but have never heard of a doctor just putting someone on bed rest and saying they are hoping you reach to the goal of 34 weeks.
PPROM only happens in under 3% of pregnancies. Everything I have ever read about PPROM the woman has gone into labor within days. The woman is put on steroids to help mature the baby’s lungs, along with antibiotics, as soon as the water breaks. Personally, I would not be thinking about names and on a forum if I had PPROM. My days and nights would be filled with thoughts of the baby and dealing with all the medical specialities that would be involved and trying to sleep and rest.
I am leery when people make posts that do not sound right. We are a welcoming group, have males and females of varying ages on the forum. Some pregnant, some not. Some posters just enjoying creating names. Some writers. As a whole we just love names. You do not need to be pregnant. We do not welcome trolls and people creating stories.
If you are in that 3% and suffering from this, my prayers and positive thoughts are with you and your little one. We had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. At the time we felt alone.
