Help me name my hedgehog?

Hello!

I have a hedgehog which I will be picking up in about 10 days, and he still needs a name. I was originally expecting to get a female, but ended up getting a male instead so I could use some help with names.

As a guideline:

  • nothing too cutesy (I’m not a fan of [name_m]Spike[/name_m], Pokey, or any of those types of names)
  • not too hard to pronounce. Generally if I can find pronunciation for it online it is fine, though.

Ideas (not required but just so you can get an idea of what I like):

  • something winter-y? It is my favorite season and I like names related to.
  • otherwise nature-related names.
  • astronomy related names OR mythology related (sometimes these are the same, haha)
  • bonus points for a name that starts with the letter “P”. My other three animals all have names that start with ‘P’ so this would be cool but not really a requirement.

Some names that i’ve had suggested to me or I’ve come up with:
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]: originally what I was going to go with, but it sounds more feminine to me.
[name_u]Frost[/name_u]: I like it, but i’m not set on it.
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]: I like it a lot, but maybe too feminine and I like it for people too, so I don’t know if I want to save it for a future child xD
[name_m]Thorin[/name_m]: I’m a big fan of [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings/The Hobbit, but my mom was more thinking “[name_m]Thorin[/name_m] Oakenshield = [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] Pokenshield”. Haha.
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]: I like it, and i’d probably choose this but my brother immediately thought of [name_m]Kylo[/name_m] [name_u]Ren[/name_u] lol.

Thanks c:

I don’t think [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are too feminine, especially if they’re being used on an animal!
Some other ideas:
[name_m]Jupiter[/name_m]
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]
[name_u]Orion[/name_u]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_u]Mars[/name_u]
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Fjord[/name_f]
[name_m]Thor[/name_m]
[name_m]Bear[/name_m] (might be too cutesy for you)
[name_m]Castor[/name_m]
Nasa “[name_m]Nash[/name_m]”
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Cove[/name_m]
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]”

[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] is a great suggestion!

[name_f]Peta[/name_f]
[name_m]Stefan[/name_m]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]*
Hendreary
[name_m]Inigo[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u]
[name_m]Quill[/name_m] / [name_m]Quillan[/name_m]
[name_m]Martin[/name_m]

[name_m]Pluto[/name_m] - furthest planet (it’s totally still a planet) from the sun so it’s cold! Both astrological and mythological.
[name_m]Pollux[/name_m] - name of a star and from Greek mythology ([name_m]Castor[/name_m] and [name_m]Pollux[/name_m])
Poseiden
Pothos - mythology (the sexual longing/desire association might be a little weird for a hedgehog though XD) + name of a plant

[name_m]Sergeant[/name_m]
[name_m]Patton[/name_m]
Pickles

Padus is a star, and you could tweak it to Paddus. I think it’s cute.
[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]. It means ‘born at [name_f]Easter[/name_f]…’ so kinda winter (at least when you’re me, living in [name_f]Alaska[/name_f]…)
Polar (probably a repeat)
Ptarmigan (starts with p, sounds like t, but it’s an Alaskan cold animal. But…they’re kinda dumb…)
[name_m]Pacific[/name_m]
Penguin
[name_m]Pine[/name_m]
