I’m getting two female rats in a couple weeks. They are sisters and so I kind of want them to have names that sound good together. Right now I have the sets [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] or [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] picked out. I already have a dog named [name_f]Comet[/name_f] and a cat named Tails. I used to want to stick to the space theme but then my son named his cat Tails. lol. I really love [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], as well, so I thought [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] would have been cool since they fit the space theme and they are sisters in HP so it would have been a special little homage to these rats that are sisters. But at the same time [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] are so darn cute together. Vote for which you like better or give me your new suggestions all together!
I got two female rats a few weeks ago and while I wanted mythological/historical names, my fiance and I have a long distance relationship at the moment so I ended up going for our birth months, [name_f]April[/name_f] & [name_u]July[/name_u], and it fits them perfectly!
I do think shorter names for pets is better so that they can learn them easier (even rats can learn their name) so for that reason I vote for [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], but I think the HP reference is great and [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] sound great together.

We decided to go with [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] but call them [name_u]Romy[/name_u] And [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] for short.
I really like [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f]!
I have two pet rats as well (but they’re boys) and I named them Nox and Lumos. Nox is dark brown and Lumos is gold
