Help me name some people!

So I’m writing a book about some magical teens who escape a dystopian society and have some rough character ideas and I need to slap some names onto them. They are

The one who is a beam of light and is rlly nice to everyone. Her name choices I have so far are
[name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] and [name_f]Graciela[/name_f]

Another one is a sarcastic little trashbag
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Brynne[/name_f] and [name_u]Calypso[/name_u]

The other one is a street smart weasel
[name_m]Jullian[/name_m] [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]

And finally we have a punk rock girl who is a huge mess inside
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]

Sorry for the lack of info, these guys are still in the early stages of development and still have a ways to go. [name_m]New[/name_m] suggestions are appreciated!

[name_f]Cecile[/name_f] or [name_f]Graciela[/name_f] seem like good ideas for C1! [name_f]Graciela[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] could obviously work. I prefer the name [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] over the other two, so that’s my vote! I’ll throw in [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] for some suggestions.

For C2, I love all three names but something about [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] really has me hooked. I also think [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] could work as a nickname to [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], but I also like the name in full. Other ideas could be [name_u]Halcyon[/name_u], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], [name_f]Keziah[/name_f], or [name_f]Zahara[/name_f].

I really like [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for C3. The only one I don’t like is [name_m]Jullian[/name_m], with that spelling, because I would say the first syllable like “pull” instead of “joo”. Suggesting [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] for you.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Petra[/name_f] for C4! [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] just aren’t punk rock to me, and strike me more as studious good girls, in fact. Some more names could be [name_u]Pax[/name_u], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Nova[/name_f], [name_f]Calixta[/name_f], or [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] these sparked something for you!

Based of the brief descriptions you’ve provided, these are my personal opinions.

  1. the [name_f]Grace[/name_f] varieties are perfect for your description. [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] could become a pet name of sorts to a more simplified [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. But I like the idea of a Ceci as well.

  2. [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] would be easiest to type often, but I rally like the ring and feel of [name_u]Calypso[/name_u]

  3. [name_u]Nico[/name_u] is short, simple and has a street smart feel. As a suggestion, if he spends much time on the streets or with a group of rebels/outcasts, he might have a street name and a rep to live up to.

  4. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] or [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. [name_m]Reason[/name_m] below quote

The reason I think your punk rocker girl should have a name like [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] or [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is because parents don’t name their kids based off of profession. Because parents don’t know what their newborns future dreams, goals and hobbies will be. Therefore, a character named [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] who aspires to be a punk rocker might hate her name, or choose a stage name. She may even like her name but prefer a stage name anyways.

An example might be [name_f]Pink[/name_f], who’s given name is [name_f]Alecia[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m].

[name_f]Gracie[/name_f], [name_f]Brynne[/name_f], [name_m]Jullian[/name_m], [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
