Help me narrow down baby girl name

I think you should decide between the similar’ish [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- do you want upbeat, artsy and unique [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] or a little more reserved and literary/refined, [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? I’m personally keener on [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] but I can see Clara’s appeal. There’s also the Frenchie & balletic [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] as a merge of the two.

I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] but feel like it’s had a big run over the last 5-10 years. What about Marlowe/ [name_m]Marlo[/name_m] which is a blend of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]? [name_m]Or[/name_m] there’s [name_f]Marnie[/name_f], [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], Marcy). [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_m]Sloan[/name_m] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] would be beautiful.

One of the most prominent posters on here has a [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and it’s a very lovely, enchanting name. I think its only downside [name_f][/name_f]- and I say this as it applies to my daugter, [name_f]Willa[/name_f] too [name_f][/name_f]- is that there are a lot of girls under 10 with short, L heavy (and usually A ending) names [name_f][/name_f]- like [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Milla[/name_f], [name_f]Luella[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] etc. These and the “Belle” names (Isabel, [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] etc) have really dominated the last decade or so of naming so if you want a name that is a little less popular, I wouldn’t go for an L heavy name. [name_m]Or[/name_m] maybe something more masc like [name_m]Ellis[/name_m] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f]? But either way, just be warned re the deluge of L names!

How about:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_m]Hollis[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_m]Sloan[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Tierney[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_m]Jude[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lilla[/name_f] [name_f]Haven[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_m]Sterling[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

I prefer a vowel ending of first to go into a consonant starting middle especially with shorter names [name_f][/name_f]- eg [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] doesn’t work imo.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps! :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:
