Help me narrow down girls names, please!!

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

Thanks!!

[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - Sounds a bit old, classy, ready for revival. [name_f]My[/name_f] only problem is I don’t like the nn [name_f]Essie[/name_f], and there are no other nn.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] - Was my best friend’s name in elementary school. I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a great name! Cute, fun, spunky, versatile.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Gentle and loving, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has 3 great nn’s - [name_f]Char[/name_f], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - Definitely getting more popular with the names-starting-in [name_f]EL[/name_f] trend. NN [name_f]El[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are nice, not a fan of nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - Cute. I like it.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. Cute, spunky. Nice.

Oh. I really like your list. I feel like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is the odd one out. She’s the only vintage one. Mind you, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] could work for sister. Or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. Sorry, that wasn’t very helpful :stuck_out_tongue:

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]- it is vintage and on its way to a comeback, but its not quite there yet for me. Still sounds really old to me.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]- I like it. It is sweet and classy.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. It has class and history (like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]) and has a sweet edge and cute nns. It’s also my dog’s name so I’m biased.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. It is so classy and sophisticated and mature, but has so many cute nns to choose from.
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]- I like it, but it is a bit short and a bit too popular for me, I know several Mias.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]- [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is my favorite name (it has family significance to me), so of course I’m biased. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] fits in with the trend, but is still gorgoues and not kre8tiv or over the top. It is kind of popular but I’ve only met 1 other [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (who is my age). I like how it doesn’t have nns, and that it is easily spelled and pronounced. What’s not to like?
So my favorites from your list:
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]- though [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are tied for me.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]

I like all of them except [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] would be tied for my favorite. I have [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] on my short list. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Nora[/name_f]” and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] “[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]” would come closely behind, followed by [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]-yeah not too popular and pretty
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]-wayyyy too many
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]-too many
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]-not a fan
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]-too many around (And so many annoying spellings-as a teacher this name drives me crazy-this spelling is the best though)!
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]-Not as popular as the other REALLY popular ones.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] get my vote.

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]- I don’t like old-fashioned names, so I’m not a fan of this one
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]- Very pretty, but very popular
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] this! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite of your list
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- See [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]- So cute, but I like this as a nickname. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f] would be beautiful
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]- A cute name, but a little too cutesy. I don’t think this one ages well.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]! Any combination of those three would be fabulous, in fact, or even three sisters named [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]! Such pretty, quirky, classic names.

I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]!

Keep

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

Eliminate

[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! I’d also keep [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and lose [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] have more substance and elegance compared with [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]… I dislike both for names, especially full names. [name_f]My[/name_f] least favorite is probably [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. Not a “Z” fan for names I have found and I just don’t think it sounds pleasant or pretty. So I think eliminate [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], and also [name_f]Mia[/name_f]… Maybe [name_f]Mia[/name_f] as a nickname for something as another poster mentioned like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

What about [name_f]Esther[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f]? Stretch?

[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - I have a soft spot for this name. [name_f]Judy[/name_f] [name_f]Garland[/name_f] played two Esthers; [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] in “Meet Me In St. [name_m]Louis[/name_m]”, called Es, by her siblings, and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] Blodgett, aka [name_f]Vicki[/name_f] [name_m]Lester[/name_m] in “A [name_f]Star[/name_f] is [name_m]Born[/name_m]”.

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] - One of my all-time favorite names, just a little more popular than I would like, but still a classic!

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Beautiful, great nicknames.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - Very regal/diginified w/namesakes [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] of [name_f]Aquitaine[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f] for nicknames.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - A sweet name but it doesn’t seem to have much substance. I think it is a good nickname for something more “meaty” perhaps [name_f]Michaela[/name_f].

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - A little over used, I’ve known several pets named [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], so that colors it for me, but generally a good name for a child or adult.

[name_f]My[/name_f] vote would go to [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] just because I love it so much.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], then [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]… I also like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].
