[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I still have 7 names on our list, and we only have a month until my due date. Please help us narrow down the list!

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (Lily, Lilly)

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]

It’s helpful to think about if you want popular/not popular, which middles you want and how it sounds with your last name!

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], for example, is super popular right now, ranking #9 in the US last year.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] & [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] are both in the top 100.
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] , [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] are all less common.

I personally prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].

Ma favorite on the list is [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], but I also love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. Like previous poster said, narrowing this list down depends on your criteria, whether you want a popular name (like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is now), a more “modern” name (Isla or Tessa) or a classic (Eva). All of the names are lovely though, so you can’t really go wrong.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f]! Lots of great choices.

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is beautiful, that’s my favourite from your list :rose:

Congratulations!

[name_f]My[/name_f] goodness you have a beautiful list no wonder you’re struggling narrowing it down.

So my two favourites are [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] :bouquet:

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is beautiful. She’s frilly, elegant, has pretty connotations with roses, has a lovely pan-European feel and feels so romantic.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is another beautiful floral name. She feels very tailored, classic, has lovely vintage nostalgia, elegant and has pretty cottagecore imagery.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

I like most of the names on your list, but I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] are the prettiest!
Evelyn– I would avoid this since apparently it’s suddenly become very popular, but still sounds out of date at the same time
Annabel– this is so pretty! I personally prefer the “Annabelle” spelling, but [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is more unique and interesting
Rosalie– also really pretty and underused!
Isla– this name seems a bit underwhelming compared to others on your list in my opinion, also I could imagine people making mistakes with the spelling
Lillian (Lily, Lilly)-- this is so pretty and classic! The name [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is very popular, so I think if you use it as a nickname then [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] would be a good spelling
Eva– pretty, but it feels a little plain
Tessa– I feel like nothing really stands out about this

I actually love most of the names on your list, so I totally understand why it’s so difficult to narrow it down! [name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorites are [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my favorite to least favorite rankings:

Lillian-I love all things [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is a smart, polished elegant [name_f]Lily[/name_f] name. It’s a bit popular, but I feel like it’s classic enough that it doesn’t bother me. I prefer [name_u]Lilian[/name_u], because that way [name_f]Lily[/name_f] makes more sense. But [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is way more used & [name_u]Lilian[/name_u] might just get misspelled a lot. Therefore, I chose [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lilly[/name_f].

Rosalie-This is old fashioned & feminine & just lovable. It has the natural nn of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] too. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is fun, but not necessary. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is easy & well known but not popular. That gives it an edge for me. And it’s just a super sweet name.

Tessa-I love love [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. If this had been just [name_f]Tess[/name_f], I think that I’d put it on the top of my list. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is cute & different & does feel more complete. But I just really love [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and for me [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f] would seem unnecessary? Anyway, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is still a great name & I like that it’s well known & easy but not popular. It’s feminine but not frilly too.

Isla-I think that this is beautiful & charming. I wish that it weren’t so popular. That’s the only bummer about [name_f]Isla[/name_f].

Annabel-I think that I prefer [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], but then also [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] feels too frilly. Yet [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] looks incomplete. So, I like the name & am not happy with either spelling somehow! Either way, the nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f] is super cute & may or may not be avoidable.

Eva-I like it, but for some reason it doesn’t excite me. I really love [name_f]Ava[/name_f] & I like [name_f]Eve[/name_f], so not sure why I can’t get into this one. It’s a perfectly nice name. Most little girls I come across are named [name_f]Evie[/name_f] though, so that’s a downside.

Evelyn-Since every little girl I come across is named [name_f]Evie[/name_f], they’re mostly that or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. It’s so over done that I’m just too tired of it. It’s a fine name otherwise.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

  1. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] – I just think this is so sweet and pretty
  2. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - Okay I’m going to say something here that contradicts what I’m going to say about other names. I put this at #2 because it’s gorgeous and I love it. The downside to it is that I know it is extremely popular, and I’m downgrading other names because of their popularity. However, where I live I don’t hear it as much as the charts say I should. I dropped Lillian/Lily way down in ranking these names because I hear it everywhere around me in a large variety of ages baby to college. I know the charts say [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is really high, but I only know 3 or 4, and they are spread out between baby and college age, so it doesn’t feel as popular to me. So you know how much popularity matters to you, and what you might be hearing in your neck of the woods to know whether it matters.
  3. [name_f]Eva[/name_f] – I’ve always thought this was a sweet name.
  4. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] – [name_f]Pretty[/name_f], hits a lot of good points stylistically. The full name is great, and the nicknames are good if you or she want to go that route.
  5. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (Lily/Lilly) – I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a beautiful name, however between the people named [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], they are just everywhere right now. If that doesn’t bother you, then this name jumps to #2 on my list.
  6. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] – This name is cute and pretty, but it’s also super-trendy right now and I worry it will be to this decade.
  7. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] – Had a frenemy in elementary school, so I can’t fairly judge this one.

Most charming choice (but most popular): [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
Most striking choice (id love to see used more!): [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] / [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
Middle ground pick: [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]!

I love [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (maybe with nn Eva!) and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (with nn Lily) for you!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (Rose, Rosie) and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (Lily)

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is my favorite!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites on your list are [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]

I vote Rosalie!!!:heart_eyes::heart_eyes: love love that name

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! Less common, lots of nickname options.

You have some beautiful name options! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
