Help me narrow down this (very long!) list of crushes!

I’ve recently been going through this phase of really being attracted to these unusual, international (international in that they’re used more abroad than here, although some of them are very international in the sense that they’re used in many different countries) quirky names. I’ve managed to develop a huge (and I do mean huge!) list of crushes, and I need to narrow them down a good bit. Help me sort out this list, Berries!

All I’ve got sorted at this point is that I have room for 3 fresh combos, and I definitely want to use [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] somewhere, and I want a Danish name somewhere to honor my parents’ connection to Denmark. And I’ll probably use [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] in some form or variation as a FN.

[name_m]German[/name_m]/Germanic: [name_f]Adalia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Adelina[/name_f], [name_f]Odilia[/name_f], [name_f]Maria[/name_f], [name_f]Ariane[/name_f], [name_f]Elisa[/name_f].
Dutch: Aleida, [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Anouk[/name_f].
[name_m]French[/name_m]: [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]/[name_f]Madelaine[/name_f], [name_f]Esmee[/name_f], [name_f]Etoile[/name_f] (not sure it really qualifies as a [name_m]French[/name_m] name, but [name_m]French[/name_m] culture, as well as stars, mean a lot to me personally, and I like that it reminds me of one of my favorite pieces by [name_m]Mozart[/name_m] (my favorite composer!) [name_m]Ah[/name_m], vous dirai-je, Maman. Is it totally crazy as a name?), [name_f]Capucine[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Agathe[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] (ahn-YESS in [name_m]French[/name_m]), [name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Cecile[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Helene[/name_f] (saw this listed for several different cultures, but I liked it best pronounced the [name_m]French[/name_m] way, ay-[name_m]LEN[/name_m]), [name_f]Sixtine[/name_f].
Greek: [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Leda[/name_f], [name_f]Aster[/name_f], [name_f]Calla[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Anthea[/name_f].
Portuguese: Gracilia.
Spanish/Catalan/Basque: [name_f]Mireya[/name_f], Beatriu, [name_f]Adora[/name_f], [name_f]Alaia[/name_f], [name_f]Septima[/name_f] (maybe I’m kidding myself here, but I have been quite intrigued by number names like [name_f]Sixtine[/name_f] and [name_f]Septima[/name_f] lately…).
Hebrew: [name_f]Adaya[/name_f], [name_f]Adara[/name_f], [name_f]Ayelet[/name_f], [name_f]Ariella[/name_f], [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Zelie[/name_f]/[name_f]Zelia[/name_f], [name_f]Livana[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Talia[/name_f]/[name_u]Tali[/name_u] (predominantly because my sister is [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], nn [name_u]Tallie[/name_u]…).
Czech: [name_f]Zora[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilie[/name_f], [name_f]Eliska[/name_f], Fiala.
Polish: Malgorzata, [name_f]Zofia[/name_f], [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], Gracja, [name_f]Grazyna[/name_f].
Welsh: [name_f]Winifred[/name_f].
Scottish: [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Greer[/name_f]/[name_f]Grier[/name_f], [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f].
Danish: Laerke, [name_f]Elisabet[/name_f], [name_f]Kaja[/name_f]/[name_f]Kaia[/name_f].
Russian: [name_f]Zoya[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Nadia[/name_f].
Italian: [name_f]Annabella[/name_f], [name_f]Antonella[/name_f], [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Violetta[/name_f], [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f].
Others: [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. (I’m not really sure they’re international, but I have been crushing on them lately, and they’re contenders for FNs/MNs/NNs…)

And then there was [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]/[name_f]Lidia[/name_f] (Italian)/[name_f]Lidiya[/name_f] (Russian), etc., that I really didn’t know where to put, but I love all the variations equally, and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], which is so international and classic that I could have probably put her on every single one of these categories in some variation. Anyway, thoughts? favorites? Are any of them too crazy? Which would you like to see used?

Thanks, ladies!

Gonna pick my favorites from each category and throw in some suggestions.

[name_m]German[/name_m]: [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. So pretty and an unexpected “[name_f]Addy[/name_f]” name that wouldn’t be so readily shortened to [name_f]Addy[/name_f].

Dutch: Neither are my style. I don’t like the sound of [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], though I like how it looks.

[name_m]French[/name_m]: [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is sweet and of course, somewhat quintessential.
I love [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] and [name_f]Mireille[/name_f] for french names.
[name_f]Etoile[/name_f] I have heard used as a middle name and I thought it was lovely. The sound of the word itself isn’t the prettiest in my opinion so I wouldn’t use it as a fn.

Greek: [name_f]Calla[/name_f] for sure. It’s on my short list. I also like the idea of [name_f]Calantha[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cala[/name_f], but myself would just use [name_f]Calla[/name_f].

Portuguese: I would rather see [name_f]Graciela[/name_f], which is latin so would work perfectly well in Portuguese.

Spanish/etc: [name_f]Mireya[/name_f] (would it be spelled [name_f]Mirella[/name_f]?).
I find Beatriu very intriguing. I think it would be one of those things where people would still call her [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] even after repeated telling.
[name_f]Septima[/name_f] – I knew someone with this middle name. She was the seventh child and the doctor actually suggested the name! They called her Seppy. I can’t get over the Septic resemblance here.
[name_f]Anais[/name_f] is a Catalan & [name_m]French[/name_m] variation of [name_f]Anne[/name_f], which I think is a neat name (somewhat infamous for the lovely [name_m]Nin[/name_m]). [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] is also quite nice.

Hebrew: [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], find it so lovely.

Czech: If I had to choose I’d go with Fiala, but none of these grab me.

Polish: [name_f]Zofia[/name_f], but again, you’d be getting “[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]?” a lot.

Welsh: No, no. I can’t abide by this name. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Carys[/name_f]. [name_f]Eira[/name_f], [name_f]Ffion[/name_f], Siani and [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] are also lovely.

Scottish: I like all of these, but [name_f]Greer[/name_f] would be my least favorite. Also love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

Danish: [name_f]Kaja[/name_f]/[name_f]Kaia[/name_f]

Russian: [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lidiya[/name_f]

Italian: [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] and [name_f]Violetta[/name_f]. Also love [name_f]Giana[/name_f] or [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f].

Others: I see why people like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but it’s not my style. I do think [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] would make a great nn or middle name for the right combo. Such as [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]

Oh, wow. This is going to be super hard. I love (almost) ALL of these! I think I’ll just separate them into two categories for each nationality/origin.
Germanic
LOVE
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]: I think I just love all [name_f]Rose/name_f- names, in general. There’s something so sweet about them that I can’t put my finger on.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Odilia[/name_f]: This one has a great religious meaning for you. It’s not my favorite, I’ll admit, but I love O names.
[name_f]Elisa[/name_f]

Don’t love
[name_f]Adalia[/name_f]: I don’t like [name_m]Ad[/name_m]- names. At all. Like, none of them. I think it’s partly because it’s really trendy right now, partly because I just don’t like the sound. Expect to see every single one of them under “don’t love.” lol I’m totally biased, so you can ignore that if you want.
[name_f]Adelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariane[/name_f]
[name_f]Maria[/name_f]

Dutch
LOVE
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]: This name is so unexpectedly cute.

French
LOVE
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]/[name_f]Madelaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Etoile[/name_f]: I think this would be adorable and chic. Maybe more like middle name territory, but I love it.
[name_f]Capucine[/name_f]: This one is on my list also! [name_f]Capucine[/name_f] just feels so warm when you say it out loud.
[name_f]Odette[/name_f]: Who doesn’t think of Swan [name_u]Lake[/name_u]? Beautiful.
[name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Helene[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] the breathiness of [name_f]Helene[/name_f].

Don’t love
[name_f]Esmee[/name_f]: Pretty sure Twilight ruined this name for me forever. That makes me sad…
[name_f]Aurelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]: I’ve never liked [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] as much as I dig Z names. It’s too short maybe? Leaves me feeling unsatisfied.
[name_f]Agathe[/name_f]: I don’t like [name_f]Ag[/name_f]- names either, apparently.
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecile[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Sixtine[/name_f]: I think of the Pope. Not the current one, but [name_m]Sixtus[/name_m] is a Papal name. I’m not against Catholicism or anything, number names just aren’t my taste.

Greek
LOVE
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]: I had this name on my list for awhile too, I believe. It can be an unusual flower name.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]: It’s really grown on me. I used to not like it.

Don’t love
[name_f]Leda[/name_f]
[name_f]Aster[/name_f]: I’m sure you know the things people say about this one. As much as I wish that didn’t bother me, it does.
[name_f]Anthea[/name_f]

Portugese
Gracilia really isn’t my style, although [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] would make a good nn for it.

Spanish/Catalan/Basque
LOVE
[name_f]Mireya[/name_f]: Interesting and better alternative to plain, old, tired [name_f]Maria[/name_f].

LOVE
Malgorzata
[name_f]Zofia[/name_f]
[name_f]Zosia[/name_f]: I’ve contemplated on adding this one to my list, but I feel like I already have too many Z names. Please, tell me I’m being silly and there’s no such thing. ha
[name_f]Grazyna[/name_f]

Don’t love
Gracja

Welsh
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] has never been a favorite, nor any of it’s variants, cousins, distant relations.

Scottish
LOVE
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]: The imagery I get with this name is the reason why I love it, I think. Gorgeous blue waves, foaming up and landing on the sands of some lonely, tropical Island in the [name_m]Pacific[/name_m].
[name_f]Eilidh[/name_f]

Don’t love
[name_f]Greer[/name_f]/[name_f]Grier[/name_f]: I feel like this is more boy than girl.

LOVE
[name_f]Annabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]: Probably my favorite Italian name of all time (along with [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m].) I love the pair so much that I refuse to let a children’s cartoon throw me off of the latter.
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Liliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]: This name is the prime example (to me) of all that is lacy and lady-like and lovely.
[name_f]Fiorella[/name_f]

Don’t love
[name_f]Antonella[/name_f]

I actually like [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], AND [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. They all have a quality to them that is feminine and yet, playful too. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] isn’t too dainty to get her hands dirty. Also, you can never go wrong with [name_f]Lidya[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are gorgeous (along with their alternatives.) Okay, I think my fingers are tired now from all this frantic typing. Woo! I think they would all probably make great additions to your list. (Give [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] the boot, though. She’s shifty.)

I like most of your names and I love that you have taken the time to gather so many, and I also have a crush on [name_f]Septima[/name_f]. The only one I think is a bit too crazy is Malgorzata. Most of these names would wear well in Europe and [name_u]America[/name_u], but I think some of the [name_m]French[/name_m] ones would be butchered by Americans.

[name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Leda[/name_f], [name_f]Ariella[/name_f], [name_f]Ayelet[/name_f], [name_f]Violetta[/name_f], [name_f]Lidia[/name_f] (lee-dee-uh), [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] and [name_f]Zora[/name_f] really stood out to me.

[name_m]German[/name_m]/Germanic: [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Adelina[/name_f], [name_f]Odilia[/name_f], [name_f]Ariane[/name_f].

Russian: [name_f]Nadia[/name_f]
Italian: [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
Others: [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].

I like the Danish name [name_f]Anika[/name_f].
I think both [name_f]Anika[/name_f] [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Anika[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] are really pretty names!

keep (also my favorites among those):
