Help me narrow it down for baby boy #5

We are having our 5th boy soon. I’ve posted on here asking for suggestions for our 5th and last baby name, and have compiled a list. I like short strong names. I also like nicknames for first names. Middle names are always family names. I really don’t want to repeat a letter but I will if need be. These are some of the names we have on our list. Help me narrow it down. Tell me your favorite, which ones to keep on the list, and which ones to toss. Thanks in advance! For reference, our other boys names are :
[name_m]Tripp[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m]
[name_m]Rush[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]

Our list so far:

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (my personal fav)
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (love. But worried it’s used as more of a girls name)

[name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] ( [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. but can I have 2 biblical names with 3 non biblical names? Might bother me)

[name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (my husbands favorite)
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_m]Wes[/name_m]/west [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (love. Hubby not sold)
[name_m]Ladd[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I’m not fond of [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], but the name works well with his brothers. It also keeps up the pattern of every other one having double letters at the end of the name.
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I think this would fit well with the brothers too.
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I love this and I think it would also work well in the sibset.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I think [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is handsome on a boy, but if him sharing a name with a girl would bother you, then it would be best to take it off the list.
[name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I don’t think having 2 biblical and 3 non would be a problem, but if you think it will annoy you then it’s another to take off the list. It is definitely more unique than the others on your list
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: This feels a little more formal compared to the other boys, but I think it works
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] this!
[name_m]Wes[/name_m]/west [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: I’d prefer it as a nn for [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], since [name_m]Wes[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] makes me think of the director (not a bad association)
[name_m]Ladd[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]: Not a fan. Unless this is a surname or something it just sounds like boy [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]

I see you love [name_m]Wes[/name_m]/[name_u]West[/name_u] and your husband isn’t a huge fan, have you considered [name_m]Weston[/name_m]?

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - it’s okay, but seems more tame/common than your other boys’ names
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - good, but too trendy in comparison? Sounds nice, though, and goes with your other boys well.
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Bram[/name_m], but the flow into [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] isn’t the best.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I’d cut this one because it does seem to be used on girls more, and your other boys have stronger ‘boy’ names

[name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - Has a softer feel to it [name_f]IMO[/name_f] than your other boys’ names, but sounds nice

[name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (my husbands favorite) - I think this goes well. Nice flow.
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I also like this.
[name_m]Wes[/name_m]/west [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Wes[/name_m] the best. I think it goes well and I like that it doesn’t repeat any sounds of your other boys’ names.
[name_m]Ladd[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I don’t care for this one. Not sure where it comes from. “He’s a good little [name_m]Lad[/name_m]?” Maybe Landy, instead?

My favorites with [name_m]Tripp[/name_m], [name_m]Rush[/name_m], [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are: [name_m]Wes[/name_m], [name_m]Knox[/name_m], [name_m]Oren[/name_m], and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] (in that order).

You have an amazing list going on there! I do love all of your options - and your boys’ names are super cool.
To keep it short:

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] and [name_m]Wes[/name_m] - adore [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_m]Wes[/name_m] is fine. However, agreed with previous comment, it does seem a bit ‘tame’ in comparison to your other boys. [name_u]West[/name_u] I really like, it can fit in fine with the sibset.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] - both are nice, but neither fit. Of course, both are fine names, and loving it is what matters, but as we are trying to narrow down the list…
[name_m]Esau[/name_m] - that is one big name! It’s very nice, very strong. Though [name_m]Tripp[/name_m] and [name_m]Esau[/name_m] for brothers does seem a bit funny…
[name_m]Ladd[/name_m] - I really don’t think that would work well…

[name_m]Knox[/name_m] - great name! [name_m]Even[/name_m] if a bit trendy, it has spunk to match his brothers.
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] - love it! It’s softer like [name_u]Finn[/name_u], and so handsome. It’s unusual, but familiar. It also builds a bridge between [name_m]Tripp[/name_m], [name_m]Rush[/name_m] & [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Abel[/name_m], with it also being Hebrew, but not as obvious as [name_m]Abel[/name_m].
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] - [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] it! Makes the same points as [name_m]Bram[/name_m], just possibly with an extra cool factor.

[name_m]Tripp[/name_m], [name_m]Rush[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and…
[name_m]Oren[/name_m], [name_m]Bram[/name_m], [name_u]West[/name_u] or [name_m]Knox[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] and [name_m]Knox[/name_m]. They both go really well with the other boys names. [name_m]Oren[/name_m] is cute too. I think [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is really feminine.

Thanks so much guys! I really do love [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] but agree that it is a little too “tame” for our sib set. However I’m not yet prepared to take it off the list haha. I love [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] so much and think it’s such a handsome name, but agree that it doesn’t go with the brothers, so it’s off the list. [name_m]Knox[/name_m] is nice, maybe a little too trendy for me but I’ll move it to the bottom of the list as I’m not quite prepared to remove it completely. I do love [name_m]Oren[/name_m], my concern is that it’s kinda hard to say. I’m afraid it will always be confusing when introducing himself “orange? [name_m]Warren[/name_m]?” Etc. (although I do love warren). But I love it and it’s staying on the list. I am in love with [name_m]Esau[/name_m] and its moved to the top. It does bother me a little having 2 biblical back to back, but I think I can move past it. When they are grown, no one is going to list them in order, so in the long run it may not matter. Please keep the suggestions coming! I love hearing what you guys think

First off, congratulations!

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is a cute, somewhat rugged name for baby boy, which also happens to be my favorite as well.

[name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is a nice choice as well, but [name_m]Esau[/name_m] seems a bit too biblical, seeing that it is a well-known story of the Old Testament ([name_m]Jacob[/name_m] and [name_m]Esau[/name_m]).

[name_m]Just[/name_m] a few of my thoughts. Whichever name you choose, they are all great. Thanks for your consideration!

Storywriter0507:)

[name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_m]Oren[/name_m] are both a great fit.

My favorite is [name_m]Wes[/name_m] or [name_u]West[/name_u]. My second choice is [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and third would be [name_m]Oren[/name_m]. All three would be a great fit with your other boys! [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is way too trendy and unspecial in my opinion. I really like [name_m]Roman[/name_m] but it doesn’t fit as well with your other names to me. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is used to often for girls to be a good fit with your clearly boy names. The others I don’t care for as much.

So going from your shorter shortlist:

[name_m]Oren[/name_m]: I know a 5 year old called [name_m]Oran[/name_m] and it has never been a difficult name to pronounce, personally I think all names can be misheard! As a name I think [name_m]Oren[/name_m] is a great match for your other sons!

[name_m]Esau[/name_m]: is a lovely name and I really don’t think you shouldn’t worry about having 2 biblical name and 3 non biblical names, I think it balances your sons names if you love it go for it!

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]: Great name but I agree that is soft compared to your other sons, it just depends on whether you want to be matchy or just go for the name you love most

[name_m]Knox[/name_m]: isn’t my style as I agree it is very trendy (and I’m quite old fashioned :)in terms of naming style) however I think it fits great with [name_m]Tripp[/name_m], [name_m]Rush[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] & [name_m]Abel[/name_m]

I terms of preference I think I am going for:
[name_m]Esau[/name_m]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_m]Oren[/name_m]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]

Although to be honest there isn’t much in it, so I’ve partly based my decision on your comments!

I ordered them from favorite to least:

  1. [name_m]Wes[/name_m] ([name_m]Wesley[/name_m]) [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  2. [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  3. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  4. [name_m]Oren[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  5. [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  6. [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  7. [name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  8. [name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
  9. [name_m]Ladd[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]

I absolutely love [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m], it goes really well with the brothers names. I also really like [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and it fits in with the theme of rare names that you have going on with each of the brothers names.

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I love [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], but as many people before me it seems more “tame” than your other sons names.
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I quite like [name_m]Knox[/name_m] but I don’t think that it works with his bothers.
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I don’t know about this name, there’s something that is off.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - Though I really like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] it’s too feminine to your other boys.

[name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I absolutely love this name, I think I even suggested it. It goes really well with the sibset. You shouldn’t worry about two biblical names and 3 non biblical.

[name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - to “normal”
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I don’t like this name because in Swedish it’s a word that means dirty, filthy…
[name_m]Wes[/name_m]/west [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I think both could work but I’m not loving it.
[name_m]Ladd[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - No, doesn’t work at all.

I think that [name_m]Esau[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is your best options, it sounds great and would make a lovely bother to [name_m]Tripp[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m], [name_m]Rush[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m] and [name_m]Abel[/name_m] [name_m]Jones[/name_m].

Good luck!

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_m]Knox[/name_m], and [name_m]Bram[/name_m] all sound really good and would go well with your sibset.
