Help me narrow my short list!

We have four weeks left and we are team green. Coming up with two names (well four) is difficult. DD’s name is [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. DD’s middle name is my middle name. Our last name starts with S and has two syllabus.

For a boy, we narrowed it down to [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] or [name_m]Brody[/name_m]. [name_m]William[/name_m] will be the middle name for a boy.

For a girl, narrowed it down to [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], or [name_u]Brinley[/name_u]. No middle name discussed yet for a girl. I brought up the fact that this LO was conceived in [name_u]June[/name_u] (and it’s my birthday month) and thought that would be a fun. It’s hard to decide which side of the family to use as a middle name so I’m trying to avoid that. However, if we go with [name_u]Brinley[/name_u], her initials would be BJS. My childish mind would think negatively all the time if I named my 2nd daughter with the initials BJS… am I overthinking it though? If we went with [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], I feel like it would need a two syllable middle name so we would be back to the drawing board.

ALSO, we both like [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] over [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] BUT our DD’s friend’s name is [name_f]Kynlee[/name_f]. We do see them often in our close group of friends but would that be weird to name our 2nd daughter a rhyming name of our friend’s daughter’s name? We both like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], and that was on the list for DD#1, but our friend’s named their dog that. Not a deal breaker but can’t get sold on it. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] isn’t terrible…

Lot’s of what-ifs… just needing clarification/suggestions/feedback since I’m just lost. [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!!!

At a first glance, I’d say you should go with either [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u], and you shouldn’t worry about rhyming with [name_f]Leah[/name_f]'s friend because there are ton of girls and boys and grownups with -lee, -ley and -leigh names. I prefer [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], I think it goes better with [name_f]Leah[/name_f], but [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] is ok too. However, the initials thing totally throws me off of [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] S. BJS is kinda super explicit; her names, BJ, are too; and her fn-ln combination, the one she’ll probably use the most is BS! Like, bs.
So, my vote is on [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]! On the boys, I like [name_m]Brody[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], but the same as BS, so [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. I would avoid BJS. I don’t think it’s childish… it’s pretty conspicuous. BS is fine though, imo.

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is another thought… [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]? Good luck!

Thanks so much everyone! I’m loving the sentimental aspects of [name_u]June[/name_u] as her middle name (both my parent’s middle names start with “J” too) if she’s a girl and I cannot get over the BJS initials.
