hi berries! <3
[name_f][/name_f]
help me pick my middle name!
[name_f][/name_f]
my name is georgia eve and lately i have been really wanted to change it. i had a few names picked out but have narrowed it down to one (bloom!) [name_f][/name_f]- but now im wondering if i should change it at all! i love georgia bloom, but most people i have asked have liked eve better.
[name_f][/name_f]
i will pick one because i like one better not because a majority of input but i love your guys taste and are curious on [name_f][/name_f] your opinion. but now im doubting a change since i havent gotten a great reaction on bloom.
[name_f][/name_f]
which do you guys prefer, bloom or eve? thank you for your time
Both are beautiful! [name_f][/name_f] I personally like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] a little better, but [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is super lovely and I would love to have the mn [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
Like you said, I would hesitate to take too many people’s opinions into consideration as it’s important you make this decision for yourself! [name_f][/name_f] For years I told myself I would change my name when I was legally able to do so, but when it came time to actually change it I decided I didn’t feel like anything but my own name. [name_f][/name_f] I’ve since decided if I marry, I will be probably changing my surname, so I would change my middle(s) at that point too. [name_f][/name_f] I’ve come to see the appeal of my own name, even though the reasons I wanted to change my name haven’t ever really gone away. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a beautiful name. [name_f][/name_f] Your post doesn’t go a ton into why you wanted to change it, and that’s of course your own prerogative, but if you’re doubting making the change enough, maybe sit on it for a while and see how you feel? [name_f][/name_f] I can’t ever make a decision that serious quickly, but I am definitely an overthinker.
[name_f][/name_f]
If you decide to keep [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f], you could call yourself [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] as a double barrel even? [name_f][/name_f] I’ve gotten nicknames that only partially relate to my name, and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] is so pretty! [name_f][/name_f] I don’t think you legally need to change it to be able to enjoy using [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] occasionally.
[name_f][/name_f]
Good luck!

aww thanksso much! its great to hear from someone who has gone through this!
[name_f][/name_f]
i dont have a specific reason to changing my name other than the fact that i just dont love eve. i have the biggest crush on bloom though! if i dont use it[name_f][/name_f] she will definitely be in my author name though and im glad to at least have a part of her.
[name_f][/name_f]
i think the only thing holding me back is the negative reaction. most people love eve but wont even comment on bloom. im trying to not let peoples opinions decide for me, but its hard when i have had people literally say “i like eve better”.
[name_f][/name_f]
thanks for the input! i love that you are still considering the name change! this is very helpful, and i will definitely be sitting on it more before i make a permanent change. thanks again!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] is gorgeous [name_f][/name_f]- pretty and elegant with a little bit of unexpected flair.
[name_f][/name_f]
I’d say [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] is my favourite but I can understand that others may prefer the classic feel of [name_f]Eve[/name_f] with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]

Changing your name is a big decision! Both options are beautiful. In my opinion, your name is stunning. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is sweet, radiant, cheerful, and charismatic. However, I completely understand the enchantment for [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f]. It’s a wonderful idea! [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] feels vibrant, fun, colorful, and adorable.
[name_f][/name_f]
I must admit that I prefer [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f]. However, I find the idea of keeping it as a professional pseudonym quite interesting. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] would make a captivating, melodious, and romantic artistic name. It could offer you the best of both worlds by preserving your birth name while embracing a new creative and private identity as a writer.
[name_f][/name_f]
Not knowing the reasons behind your desire for change, but sensing some hesitation, my advice would be to either keep [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] as a pseudonym or incorporate it into your name. Changing your name can come with bureaucratic challenges, and in the end, it’s always an investment of time, patience and money. In my opinion, taking that step requires absolute certainty that it’s the right decision.
[name_f][/name_f]
Whatever you decide, please, follow your heart.
[name_f][/name_f]
I hope you find the best choice for yourself soon!
[name_f][/name_f]I wish you the best of luck with everything!

Seconding what other have said about the possibility of keeping [name_f]Eve[/name_f] but using [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] as a pen name [name_f][/name_f]- best of all worlds!
[name_f][/name_f]
I actually think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a beautiful middle name. [name_f]My[/name_f] first best friend when I was at nursery school was called [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and it’s always had a sparkle for me. It suits any age, it’s ancient and timeless, and it’s got some zip and zing to it! [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] is, of course, an enchanting middle name but I wouldn’t rule out being able to enjoy both 🫶🏻
