Help me pick a name!

Third child on the way. I have already two boys [name]Christian[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name]. I am looking for a name that is not very popular, but still sounds nice and the child would not have much trouble adjusting into mainstream society. We have a short last name that begins with an “S”. Please rate the following names below. Any advice or other name suggestions that you have would be much appreciated:

  1. [name]Anjali[/name]- means “divine offering”
  2. [name]Anisha[/name]- means “complete”
  3. Nyasha- means “mercy”
  4. Njeri- means “warrior’s daughter”
  5. Nyari- means “in the summer”
  6. [name]Nazneen[/name]- means “charming”
  7. [name]Zaria[/name]- means “blossom or princess”
  8. [name]Zuleika[/name]- means “brilliant and lovely”
  9. [name]Asha[/name]- means “life and hope”
  10. [name]Kamaria[/name]- means “like the moon”

Nyari
[name]Zaria[/name]
[name]Anjali[/name]

All have lovely sounds and meanings.

Style wise these are very different to [name]Caleb[/name] and [name]Christian[/name].

If you were having a son I would second the idea of [name]Asher[/name] as it would fit well with the sibset.

[name]Aisha[/name] is a pretty girl’s name

All the names you have chosen are very unusual and will stand out from mainstream for that reason.

[name]Anisha[/name] and [name]Zaria[/name] would be the pick from your list imo.

I would imagine that you would be looking for a nice Biblical name for your next child?

[name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name] in all its forms eg [name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] in all forms eg [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Sharon[/name] (rose of [name]Sharon[/name])
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evelyn[/name]

I do want something different. I don’t necessarily want my daughter’s name to follow the same trend as my sons. I agree [name]Aisha[/name] is a great! My name is actually a derivative of the name and that is why [name]Asha[/name] is on the list. Nyasha and [name]Nazneen[/name] are names that I saw in books. The female characters were very strong and humble. [name]Sarah[/name] has always been a favorite but it is too popular, thus the attraction to [name]Zaria[/name]. But I definitely see your point. Thank you so much for your input!

If you have any great N names to share let me know. I don’t want anything overly used like [name]Natalie[/name] or [name]Nadia[/name].

Well, I think a couple of the names should be ruled out if you live in an English-speaking country, as they would take most people a long time to work out how to pronounce, upon seeing them for the first time.

So, I wouldn’t use Nyasha, Njeri or Nyari. [name]Asha[/name] is lovely, but a lot like the currently popular boys’ name [name]Asher[/name] - do you perceive that being a problem?

Of your other names, [name]Nazneen[/name] and [name]Kamaria[/name] don’t do much for me personally, but I adore [name]Zaria[/name] and [name]Zuleika[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are unusual, pretty, feminine choices which, with a quick explanation, won’t be difficult for most English-speakers.

As for N names :
[name]Tamer[/name] choices :
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Nova[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]
[name]Nina[/name]
[name]Nancy[/name]
[name]Niamh[/name]/[name]Neve[/name]
[name]Noemie[/name]
[name]Nona[/name]

My daughters middle name is [name]Cressa[/name]. they are the letters that my husband and I have in commin. You could always chose a 2 part name name as well. My daughters Full name is [name]Heaven[/name]-Ryle [name]Cressa[/name].

I would love to meet a baby named [name]Zaria[/name]…very pretty!!
