Third child on the way. I have already two boys [name]Christian[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name]. I am looking for a name that is not very popular, but still sounds nice and the child would not have much trouble adjusting into mainstream society. We have a short last name that begins with an “S”. Please rate the following names below. Any advice or other name suggestions that you have would be much appreciated:
- [name]Anjali[/name]- means “divine offering”
- [name]Anisha[/name]- means “complete”
- Nyasha- means “mercy”
- Njeri- means “warrior’s daughter”
- Nyari- means “in the summer”
- [name]Nazneen[/name]- means “charming”
- [name]Zaria[/name]- means “blossom or princess”
- [name]Zuleika[/name]- means “brilliant and lovely”
- [name]Asha[/name]- means “life and hope”
- [name]Kamaria[/name]- means “like the moon”
I’m not a fan of anything of those, except [name]Asha[/name]. I just don’t think any of them sound well with your boy’s names.
I know you probably don’t want to hear this but a lot of the names on your list are 1) hard to pronounce for English speakers (Njeri, [name]Zuleika[/name], [name]Nazneen[/name]) and 2) very different in style from [name]Christian[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name]. I do like [name]Anjali[/name] and [name]Asha[/name], otherwise, I think there are lots of other names out there that would go better. Is there a reason this style of names appeal to you?
I love [name]Asha[/name]! It has a soft sound like [name]Misha[/name] and [name]Sasha[/name] while being a bit rarer.
I am going to have to agree, the style is so different from your sons’ name they are akward. I do like [name]Asha[/name] and [name]Kamaria[/name] though. I could see those working. Would you consider another “C” name to make it a trend? I think [name]Camille[/name] (Ka-mee-l) and [name]Clarice[/name] (cl-[name]AIR[/name]-eese) would sound lovely with your sons’ names.
Good luck!
Thank you for your advice! I am now deciding between [name]Asha[/name] and [name]Zaria[/name]!
