Hi there.
Here are my thoughts on the list:
Alyse- [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is a beautiful classic. [name_f]Elise[/name_f], though, not my style, isn’t horrible. It’s just a little abrupt. But what I’m getting at is [name_f]Alyse[/name_f] is confusing.
Ellie-I love [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. It’s sweet & friendly & slightly old fashioned. I do find it very nick-namey though. the good news is, [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] can be a nn for sooo many names. I kind of think just [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is okay as a full name. I also like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_u]Eliya[/name_u], [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Estella[/name_f].
Elle-A little short, but it’s okay.
Ellis-I find this a bit boyish, really.
Alice-So pretty & sweet! Classic, smart & just beautiful. A tad popular, but not too bad.
Iris-I don’t know why, but I can’t get into this one. It’s just kind of harsh.
Evelyn-This is every other kid I meets name. This or [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f].
Marie-Aw, I like it. An underused charming classic.
Anneliese-I prefer [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], because it looks sleeker. Kind of nice though . A little frilly, but a good name that you don’t hear a ton.
Violet-Getting a bit popular, but so classic & pretty.
Ava-I do like this a lot. It’s simple & elegant, w/a bit of glamour. Soooo over done though.
Esmee-Ooh, I love this. But prefer [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. The other ‘e’ looks unnecessary. But [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is elegant & pixie-ish.
Estelle-Yes…[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]! Two favorites for the price of one. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is sophisticated & classic, & [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is friendly & sporty.
Celeste-This is nice. Simple, not too over done, elegant & smart.
Eva-I kind of prefer [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. This is fine. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is more popular, but w/all of the [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]/Evies out there, [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is basically as popular.
Adèle-Oh, that’s nice. A little serious sounding for some reason? But not a bad name. Simple, old fashioned, not over done, feminine & grows up well. I guess you could maybe do the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] here too really.
Skye-That’s really nice. Very peaceful, you know?
Cecilia/Celia-I think that these are two separate names. I like just [name_f]Celia[/name_f] a lot. It’s smart & kind sounding. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is a little frillier. There are an odd abundance of little Ceces running around in my area.
Selah-I don’t mind this. It’s not a name that I love, but I appreciate it, you know? It’s simple, smart, has substance, fairly feminine but not too cutesy. Good name. I just can’t get into it.
Opal-I want to like this, because it’s charmingly old fashioned & a pretty gem. But I just hear ‘Opie’, which sounds like dopey. [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t get into it!
Ivy-I like the idea of this, but keep hearing I.V.
Daisy-I could not love this name more.
It’s just so lovable & charming & hard to say w/out a smile.
Mila-The sound of this is pretty & I see the appeal, but it’s so trendy.
Maia-I like this. Simple…kind of popular, but a nice name. It sounds sophisticated & a bit exotic.
Nina-Meh, I can’t get into this. [name_m]Just[/name_m] kind of bland.
Maisie-So cute. It’s spunky & a little mischievous. I do like it better as a nn for some reason. [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Maureen[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]?
Jessamine/Jessa-Meh, I don’t know. I don’t love this. I guess it’s different.
Sadie-Super sweet. Vintage & just lovable.
Maggie-Okay as a nn. Not my favorite, but not bad. I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] are good too.
Julliet-Is this a typo? [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is elegant & beautiful.
Hallie-I don’t know. I like the sound, but the spelling always looks weird to me. I think that [name_u]Haley[/name_u] should be said [name_m]Hal[/name_m]-ee, but it’s Hay-lee, so I’m all confused.
Fleur-Hm. [name_f]Fancy[/name_f] & different, but maybe too hard to say?
Evie-Sooo over done, but cute as a nn. I like just [name_f]Eve[/name_f] personally.
Jamie-Hm. It’s my 40 year old sister’s name. You sure don’t hear it much on little girls these days. Kind of fun & unexpected.
Iselle-I’m not sure how to say this?
My favorite is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], but I do love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] as well. And [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] & [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], but for nns only. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
