I tried to respond earlier but NB hates my computer sometimes. Oh, well.
Your name list is great, but I feel like it goes in a few directions. You’ve got vintage classics like [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]; [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] certainly also fit in that category, but they’re more of the “modern set” in that they’ve been more popular as of late and therefore feel new again (but then again, [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has been in use for forever, and [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Lil[/name_f]-everything have been everywhere in the last five or so years, certain to continue, so maybe this is a silly distinction); then you’ve got [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], which feel different and more “exotic” (I hate using that word here!); and then you have [name_u]Winter[/name_u], your only word name and one that feels vaguely unisex and out of place with the rest. So, I’m just slightly perplexed when trying to pick names to add in.
[name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] doesn’t really “fit” in any of the above categories, not even the [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] one, although that’s the best spot. I like [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f], love the sound, love that it’s a family name, but next to all of these names, I’m not sure it’s the best bet. Middle possibility?
[name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is just not for me. You’ve got [name_f]Anne[/name_f] in [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], a bit, and I’ve never been a fan of hyphenated names, much less a hyphenated combination of two one-syllable names. It just lacks melody and charisma to me. [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is better, but I’m not sold.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] most definitely fits with your vintage classic set. I sort of feel like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is booming to the extreme nowadays, and I like her and her versatility, but I’ve always personally preferred [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], so it’s hard for me to love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] too. If that makes any sense. I do think she bridges the gap between your classics and your [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] category, although [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] are way too close in sound for me to every consider them as sisters.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is charming and sweet, prim and a bit proper, but she fits with the vintage classic set. She doesn’t really bridge the gap to the other names as well as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but she’s wordy like [name_u]Winter[/name_u], and I like those two together. I’m iffy on this.
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] is one girl name that I think is universally a winner. I personally prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is pretty, classic, feminine, and elegant. I don’t know that she’s enough to bridge the gap, though. [name_f]Julissa[/name_f]? [name_f]Julietta[/name_f]?
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is not a name I’ve ever cared for, because I can’t get past my weird middle-aged association, but I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] definitely works in your set in a way some of these others maybe don’t as much. And I realize your list isn’t really a set, but it’s easier for me to think of it that way. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is zippy in a way [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is not, and I like a bit of zip.
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely and demure and overall pleasing, and she’s been on and off my own list, and she’s a family name for you, so I’m biased in her favor. That said, she doesn’t pack a punch like some of these other names, so I’m a bit torn.
I want to say [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be my pick, but she isn’t even on the list! I want her to be, though. I guess I’d say [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]? Yep, those are my best picks off the list. Good luck, dear!
