Help me please!

I am due to have a baby in three weeks. The doctor tells us it’s a girl, which would be good because we already have 2 boys. Me and my husband are both writers, so it can get very argumentative when we are discussing baby names. My husband [name]Garret[/name] suggests [name]Thalia[/name], which I like, but my mother hates, and it’s really hard to find a middle name for it. Our other kids are named [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Cadence[/name], [name]Felix[/name] [name]Travis[/name], [name]Perseus[/name] [name]Dashiell[/name], and I was REALLY seriously thinking about Annabeth. Of course none of us can decide, because [name]Felix[/name] and [name]Perseus[/name] want me to name the baby Hairy [name]Potter[/name]. I was also considering:
Thassla, which i made up
[name]Piper[/name] or [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Xia[/name]
[name]Cassidy[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name]
I’m a bit of a name nut, and I can never decide on a name. I really need help, and I like Greek and Egyptian names, but NOT [name]Roman[/name]. I don’t like over used names like [name]Sarah[/name] and [name]John[/name], so I’m not afraid to pick a name that I will have to explain to grandma.

[name]Thessaly[/name] seems like one you might like.
Megara ([name]MEG[/name]-uh-ruh)
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Delta[/name] << letter of Greek alphabet
Abila << ancient Greek city
Edessa << ancient Greek city

Of your names, I love Piper and Harper best. Not sure how to pronounce Thalia–where does the stress go? I feel like Cassidy and Avalon are a bit too trendy sounding, and Hazel just makes me think of Julia Roberts’ child. Xia is pretty to say, but it looks Chinese, which is great, but I don’t see it blending well with your other kids’ names. (LOL…just looked it up and it totally is Chinese, which I’m assuming you already knew. ) How about Gia? Monema is a name I’ve seen on several tombstones. I assume it’s pronounced mo-NEE-ma, and that sounds a little Greek to me too.

[name]Hazel[/name] would fit in perfectly!

[name]Thalia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] doesn’t work? Since it’s your user name, I thought you must love the name a lot.

Actually my daughter [name]Adelaide[/name] made it because Im kind of inept with technology:) and grace is my name, I don’t really want another one in the house it is pretty though.

Wow…I just want to say what a thoughtful way of picking out a name that fits in with her other 3. [name]Zelda[/name] on its own seems very videogamish to me, but when you put it in the context of the other 3, it really fits in. [name]Just[/name] thought you did a great job of putting a lot into the suggestion.

I like [name]Cassidy[/name] and [name]Harper[/name], and Annabeth is very pretty. Maybe you’d like [name]Athena[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Callista[/name], [name]Magdalena[/name], or [name]Agnes[/name].

[name]LOVE[/name] the suggestion of [name]Delta[/name] and also [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Calista[/name] I think these style names fit perfectly with baby’s siblings.

[name]How[/name] gorgeous is [name]Adelaide[/name], here are some more ideas

[name]Liliana[/name] [name]Piper[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Margot[/name]
[name]Xanthe[/name] [name]Paige[/name]/[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Anthea[/name] [name]Helene[/name]
[name]Tahlia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]/[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Cressida[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Hermione[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Cecelia[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Antoinette[/name]

All the best

I think [name]Xanthe[/name] would be great with your set

You are absolutely right!

Something that might be a little weird is that [name]Perseus[/name] ([name]Percy[/name]) and Annabeth are the two main characters in the [name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name] & the Olympians series, which as you may know is very popular, so Annabeth might get . . . awkward. I really like [name]Xia[/name], though.

I see what you did there! [name]Percy[/name] with [name]Thalia[/name] and Annabeth… might want to stay away from all 3 unless you want people to know you [name]LOVE[/name] the [name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name] series. I like the suggestion of [name]Thessaly[/name], [name]Zelda[/name] and [name]Xia[/name]/[name]Zia[/name] - here are a few others you might want to consider:

[name]Freja[/name]/[name]Freya[/name]
[name]Isis[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Reyna[/name]/[name]Rayna[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
Xylia
[name]Zelia[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Calista[/name]
[name]Calypso[/name]
[name]Thora[/name]
[name]Diana[/name]

Also, because of the literature connections, consider:

[name]Story[/name]
[name]Poet[/name]
[name]Saga[/name] (also a goddess in Norse mythology)
[name]Tennyson[/name]
[name]Bronte[/name]

Good luck!

Personally, I think Annabeth kinda ruins the awesome names you have for your children now. Annabeth is not a bad name, but it ruins the greatness you have going on. Annabeth, is a bit boring in comparison.

I am with [name]Lori[/name], I believe [name]Zelda[/name] could fit in perfectly. I also like your choices [name]Avalon[/name], [name]Xia[/name], and [name]Thalia[/name].

[name]Calliope[/name]
[name]Athena[/name]
[name]Artemis[/name]
[name]Pele[/name] (Pey-ley)
[name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Alcyone[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Sabine[/name]
[name]Hermione[/name]
[name]Delphi[/name]
[name]Magdalene[/name]
[name]Ariadne[/name]
[name]Diantha[/name]
[name]Xanthe[/name]
[name]Pandora[/name]
[name]Persephone[/name]
[name]Eulalia[/name] (yoo-[name]LAY[/name]-lee-ah) means: eloquent; well-spoken
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Circe[/name]

Best of [name]Luck[/name] to you!

Username is Thalia Grace, Hazel, Perseus, Annabeth, Piper… PJO and HoO fan? The PJO series is getting popular, so people might notice Perseus and Hazel/Annabeth/Thalia/Piper. But if you do go that route, I like Thalia the best, when it’s pronounced Thal-ee-uh (like from the book), but Annabeth is really pretty too, and so is Piper for back-up names, but Piper’s #98, so your kid might not be the only one in the classroom, if your worried about that. Middle names for Thalia?

Thalia May/Mai/Mae (however you want to spell it)
Thalia Kate

Yeah, it is hard to find a middle name for it. Also, I love Thalia with Grace as a middle name, but you know.

Hope I helped!
