help me replace the newest rejects by DH

My husband has rejected a new batch of my faves!

I have such a hard time getting him to agree on names! He always gives me the wierdest reasons why he doesnt like the names… ( i wrote his “reasons” below!

So here are the recent rejects! I would love suggestions on how to replace them!!! :slight_smile:

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - he said… sounds too much like [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] and thats stupid

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]- He says it soudns whiney

[name_f]Alma[/name_f]- he says it soudns stupic with our last name ( he is kind of right on this one but I love it anyways!) our last name begins with [name_m]AL[/name_m]…

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]- He said “like the oranges?”

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- [name_m]Just[/name_m] doesnt like it no reason given

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]- says it sounds incomplete but isnt sure he like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] either!!!

Dh drives me crazy as he rejects everything but refuses to give any suggestions!!!

Please help me replace these 6 on my list!!!

When my husband plays the SHOOT EVERYTHING DOWN game, I make him give each name a score out of 5. Sometimes it helps us to know what he REALLY hates and what he just hasn’t considered. So far that has worked out well for us, but its heartbreaking when he scores one of my absolute favourites a 1 or 2 out of 5. Ouch.
I figure everything he scores 3/5 and up is fair game, and if I really love it I can probably bring him around.

If never thought of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] sounding like [name_f]Imagine[/name_f]. I actually have something in common with your husband, I keep ruling names out cos they sound like words e.g. [name_f]Camille[/name_f] (I really like it though!) sounds like Camel. And I loved [name_f]Anais[/name_f] until I thought that one through!! Now it’s crossed my mind I could never use it.

I assume you don’t like his names then? 3 of them are on my list. Could you find something that [name_f]Etta[/name_f] is short for that you both like? [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] perhaps instead of the traditional [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]?x
