[name]Hi[/name] [name]Elena[/name]!
[name]Adelaide[/name] ” a pretty classic. The nn [name]Addie[/name] puts me off (too [name]Addison[/name]), but I like the full name.
[name]Amara[/name] ” although I tend to prefer unusual names, there are some I am unable to form a real opinion on, as to me they sound more like a combination of nice sounds than a name; this is one of those.
[name]Annika[/name] ” very satisfying to say, and I adore all [name]Annie[/name] names, but I must say that I prefer ”
[name]Annora[/name] ” beautiful on its own, plus it allows both of the stunning nicknames [name]Annie[/name] and [name]Nora[/name].
[name]Ariadne[/name] ” I love this style, but prefer other Greek names, such as [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name].
[name]Azalea[/name] ” a beautiful, spunky and feminine name, and I do have a soft spot for flower names.
[name]Bianca[/name] ” this was one of the first names I really liked, but now it seems almost tacky to me, unhelped by several unfavourable Biancas I”ve seen on television et cetera. It still has a nice sound, though.
[name]Bridget[/name]/ [name]Brigid[/name] ” this isn”t a bad name, it just lacks pizzazz for me.
[name]Cassandra[/name] ” I really wish I liked this, and in theory I should, but [name]Cass[/name]- names just don”t sound so nice to my ears.
[name]Cassia[/name] ” ditto.
[name]Cecily[/name] ” so pretty, with a lyrical sound and a wonderful literary connection.
[name]Celeste[/name] ” for some reason (I really want to like this one), it reminds me less of the Latin caelus (sky, heavens) and more of scelestus (wicked). [name]Celestine[/name] makes me think ”heavenly”, though.
[name]Clementine[/name] ” quirky, fun and vintage.
[name]Colette[/name] ” so lovely. You might also like [name]Cosette[/name].
[name]Coral[/name] ” doesn”t do much for me. I prefer ”
[name]Coralie[/name] ” very pretty, but it does have that popular ”lee ending, which might put you of. You may also like [name]Coraline[/name].
[name]Cordelia[/name] ” very pretty.
[name]Daphne[/name] ” such a lovely mythological name, accessible, feminine and fun to say.
[name]Delilah[/name] ” not the best Biblical connection, but it has a stunning sound. The [name]Regina[/name] Spektor song is so beautiful, too.
[name]Delphi[/name] ” I adore this! You”ve appealed right to my mythology-loving heart!
[name]Eloise[/name] ” lovely, but perhaps it is a little too close to [name]Elena[/name] for use as a first name. [name]Don[/name]”t hesitate to use it in the middle, though!
[name]Enid[/name] ” I love the Blyton connection, and the vintage style and sound. [name]Edith[/name] nn [name]Edie[/name] is another one in this style which I like.
[name]Eve[/name] ” the ultimate simple name, I adore it in second place but it has been ruined for me in first by the massive popularity of [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Eva[/name].
[name]Florence[/name] ” lovely, plus the adorable nn [name]Flossy[/name]. You might also like [name]Flora[/name].
[name]Francesca[/name] ” nice, but it doesn”t bowl me over.
[name]Felicity[/name] ” this has a lovely sound and an equally lovely sentiment.
[name]Genevieve[/name] ” nice, even though I”m not normally a fan of J sound names on girls, for some reason.
[name]Guinevere[/name] ” very fun to say, and unusual.
[name]Gwendolen[/name] ” such a pretty name, with a lovely literary connection.
[name]Hope[/name] ” the sentiment is lovely, but it feels almost dated.
[name]Iris[/name] ” seems to be rising in popularity, and I always find myself thinking of the eye part before the flower ” in general I adore flower names, though.
[name]Ianthe[/name] ” pretty, and with such a lovely meaning. Really unusual, too, but I might keep it in the middle for fear that it would be pronounced like [name]Ian[/name] (the name) + the (as in, the cow), rather than yan-thee, which I believe is the correct pronunciation.
[name]Indra[/name] ” quite nice, and I adore the idea of the nn [name]Indie[/name], but I much prefer [name]Indira[/name].
[name]Ingrid[/name] ” feels a little cumbersome to me.
[name]Kerensa[/name] ” pretty.
[name]Kezia[/name] ” I”ve just never warmed to the ”iah names (such as [name]Jeremiah[/name], not like [name]Sylvia[/name]), but I can”t quite put my finger on why.
[name]Luella[/name] ” so, so beautiful and lyrical.
[name]Luna[/name] ” a simple yet unusual name. I adore this one!
[name]Marigold[/name] ” very pretty. It makes older people, and those from certain areas in [name]Britain[/name], think of the yellow rubber washing up gloves, though. But I love flower names, and perhaps in a few years that will not be so much of an issue?
[name]Marisol[/name] ” I prefer some of your other options.
[name]Marlow[/name] ” feels a little trendy to me. [name]How[/name] about [name]Margot[/name]?
[name]Mercy[/name] ” this has always seemed quite a negative virtue name to me for some reason, but normally I love them.
[name]Minnie[/name] ” very sweet, but it feels insubstantial as a first name. Perhaps a nn for [name]Minerva[/name] or Ermengarde?
[name]Mireille[/name] ” nice, but it doesn”t bowl me over.
[name]Mirabel[/name] ” pretty and feminine, and I like this less frilly spelling.
[name]Olive[/name] - a snack. Despite the vintage, unusual feel of this one, I am just not won around. And [name]Olivia[/name] is SO popular.
[name]Pearl[/name] ” a simple, pretty classic.
[name]Penelope[/name] ” beautiful, with a whole host of nickname options and such a satisfying sound.
[name]Philomena[/name] ” I”m just not a fan of the ”[name]Phil[/name]” sound.
[name]Quinlan[/name] ” this one feels almost trendy to me, I”m afraid.
[name]Ramona[/name] ” very satisfying to say. I normally wouldn”t like the ”moan” sound, but it really is a lot of fun to say aloud.
[name]Romilly[/name] ” such a glamorous, pretty name.
[name]Sidonie[/name] ” I”m not a fan, personally ” it sounds very close to [name]Sidney[/name] when said in normal conversation, and I am not a big [name]Sidney[/name] fan.
[name]Thea[/name] ” quite nice, but for some reason I dislike the TH sound at the beginning of a name. Also, on it”s own it really means ”God”, which strikes me as a little odd ” it could be a nn for [name]Dorothea[/name] or [name]Theodora[/name], though.
[name]Tamsin[/name] ” I”m not a big fan, for no particular reason. I do live in fear of the nn [name]Tammy[/name], though.
[name]Valentina[/name] ” romantic, feminine, and so stunning.
[name]Viola[/name] ” nice, but I consistently prefer (the unfortunately more popular) [name]Violet[/name].
[name]Xanthe[/name] ” a great Greek choice, pretty and unusual.
[name]Yasmin[/name] ” I much prefer some of your other favourites.
[name]Zinnia[/name] ” so unusual and pretty.
