Help me shrink the list...

[name_m]Just[/name_m] got a positive test last week and totally excited…so I had to resurrect the old name lists and well, I’ve done some editing and some adding to the list…now I need to edit again. Would appreciate some feedback on this list…and as a warning, you may be seeing more of me since I can get pretty ocd about the naming process. Other children: [name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - possibly [name_f]Delia[/name_f] as a nn.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - no nn
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]

Thanks!

Congratulations.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f]/[name_u]Clare[/name_u]), [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]), and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]). [name_f]My[/name_f] least favorite is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

Congratulations!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] – love the literary reference, but not for that would be very neutral on this name.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] – NMS, but I like it. Has a nice balance between being a little brooding but not overly burdensome. Nickname [name_f]Delia[/name_f] is lovely.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] – is lovely. I prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] – dislike, as a nickname, full name. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like the longer options.
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] – love it spelled this way. It’s a strong classic, but very safe too.
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] – [name_u]Love[/name_u]. I think I like this one best with your siblings. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] are very different from each other but work, and I think [name_f]Greta[/name_f] follows this.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] – [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]. Similar to [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] in that it’s classic and safe, though I like it better than [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] I think.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] – very cute, wearable name. NMS, but I like it.
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] – [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.

I like [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] for your sibset.
Congratulations and good luck!

[name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] are both lovely and go so well with your other names!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - I like this one and it works with your other children
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - not my cup of tea
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - not my favorite name
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] - I see this as more a nickname, but it’s not bad
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - pretty, but I’m not a fan of siblings have the same letter names
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] - this name is slowly growing on me, but see [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - super sweet, love the spelling too
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - A nice name, but I don’t think it’s a perfect for with your other children
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] - I think this one works really well with you sibset! [name_u]Sam[/name_u], ensemble, [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] sounds so cute!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - oddly it reminds me very much of [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - is quite long compared to your other children’s names but makes a beautiful fit nonetheless
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - fits in perfectly
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] - is a bit too nickname-y
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - while the ‘s’ is more popular where I live, it seems more of a bother since [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is not necessarily a name where people ask for the right spelling
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] - I like it
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - the -h always bothered me personally but as a name, [name_f]Norah[/name_f] would be wonderful
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - cute
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] - love [name_f]Ada[/name_f] with your sibset

btw, is [name_u]Sam[/name_u] a nn or the full name?

I’d keep:
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
& [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] (I prefer the [name_f]Nora[/name_f] spelling). I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] works great with your other names, but it’s nms.

With [name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] & [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] best.

[name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] {and} [name_f]Greta[/name_f] / [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

{strong-sounding vintage names a bit more spunky than sweet :)}

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]- sweet, prim, demure, polished. Reminds me of [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]'s daughter
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]! Beautiful and sophisticated, a bit dramatic, strong and holds her own.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]- always felt cold and harsh to me, sorry
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f]- too nicknamey as a full name, but [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] or [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] would be sweet
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]- I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (I do say them a bit differently) but both are lovely. Down to earth, classy, and elegant. I like the full name better than any of the nicknames so glad you won’t be using one
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]- a bit heavy and frumpy
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]- not a fan, I prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]- nice, proper, familiar but rarely used
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]- nice, but so short it feels a bit insubstantial. I’d be more inclined to go with [name_f]Adella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or something like that.

I think all of your choices go pretty well with the siblings, but these are my favorites
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]- [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] being my favorite in your sibset
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your other kids’ names and I can’t wait to see what you pick for this baby. Congrats!
