Help me... Thoughts on Callie Kate (nickname: CallieKat)?

I love the name “[name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]” or “CallieKate”.

Her nickname within the family and at school would be “CallieKat” or they’d call her “[name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]” / “CallieKate”.

She wouldn’t be the only one with this name and nickname. One of our cousin’s daughters has a classmate with the name CallieKat, everyone calls her that apparently. I asked if this girl currently or has ever been made fun of or teased at all and she said it’s never happened and they’ve been in the same class for years. She and her classmate, CallieKat, are in in Middle School, so that’s a good sign b/c that’s a tough age. When my daughter gets older, she could chose to introduce herself as [name_f]Callie[/name_f] or [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], if that’s suits her better. But her family would still call her [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or CallieKat, if she didn’t mind it when she’s grown.

Thoughts?

I think it’s fine! A lot of options for her to go by.

I think the nn is really cute, but for me, I prefer a fn option. [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]? [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]? Someone told me once to think about how a name looks on a resume. I’ve never forgotten that.

I really like [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! It’s great that she can go by just one or both names, and I don’t think you need a full name for [name_f]Callie[/name_f].

I don’t understand why you would push the names together though? CallieKate looks like you’ve accidentally left a space out to me.

I think [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is lovely as the first and middle or as the nickname as it is.

It’s a bit too cutesy for me. I’d use [name_f]Callie[/name_f] as the first name and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as the middle name, definitely not both in the first name place. If they had to be the first name I’d do [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], not CallieKate.
It’d seem less cutesy if it was [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] etc. I can only imagine [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] on a girl 1-18 years old, though just [name_f]Callie[/name_f] is fine for any age.

It’s cute! But I agree with a pp that you don’t need to put the names together. [name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is fine as is.
