DH has said he would like to use [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] somewhere in the name combo for our 2nd daughter if possible. He loves the meaning {my God is bountiful}. Our other top choices this pregnancy have been [name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but I’m not sure either are fabulous with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], what would you suggest? Another factor is our last name starts with an L and is 2 syllables.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do these sound to you?
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
Other names we’ve considered:
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
Or [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as a first name?
Also hoping for a good sibset! (this is a little sister to [name_f]Naomi[/name_f])
I would use [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as the first name. [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] are super cute together. I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] the best from the names you listed. I also like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Ava[/name_f], but feel like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] sounds incomplete. What about [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u]?
Thanks litaloo for the suggestions! With my last name being 2 syllables it kinda sounds off to have [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] for a middle. Its the 3-2-2 count I think. If [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is in the first spot I think I have to ditch [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] which is hard since they are favorites!
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is beautiful. I have a two syllable surname and when I say [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] (my surname) it doesn’t sound bad at all. It might not be the perfect flow but I would not ditch names I love because of it. Plus she would go mostly by her first name or first and surname.
I had a super common name growing up so I avoid names like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as FN but it is beautiful. Its a personal choice on the popularity issue:)
For combos I like: [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I think both go with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. Good luck!
I really like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] would look nicer with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] L even though it might be a little l heavy.
Thanks for the input everyone. It’s been tough trying to pick for this baby girl! I feel like it’s “almost” right, but not quite there when I try to nail down a combo.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is a fun spelling too. I like it, hubby likes the [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] spelling a little more.
I love [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] best! I wouldn’t worry about last names much if you love the name. (Unless it something like [name_m]Fred[/name_m] bread)
Also, girls get married! So they may lose their last name anyway
I totally love [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], is one of my favorite combos. I pronounce it like ‘[name_m]Le[/name_m]-nuh [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]’ (I think everyone knows how to pronounce [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]…).
I also like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], changing the order from the one you suggested.
I hope it helps
