Help Me With This Sibset!

This is only a hypothetical sibset, but I would really love some help! I don’t necessarily think that sibling names have to match, but I do like it when they sound good together. My favorite girls’ name atm is [name]Cordelia[/name], and I love it paired with [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Rose[/name] in the middle ([name]Rose[/name] would honor my mom, but I’m also on the fence about honoring anyone because other people might start to feel left out). I’d like to build a sibset around [name]Cordelia[/name], with two boys and two girls.

My other favorite girls’ name is [name]Phoebe[/name]. I like [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], but I am open to other mn suggestions because I’m not sure if I love either of these combos. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Phoebe[/name] goes well with [name]Cordelia[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you have other suggestions for a sister to [name]Cordelia[/name]?

And what would you name her two brothers? I love [name]Alexander[/name], but it’s so popular that it might end up in the middle. [name]One[/name] of my favorite boys’ combos is [name]Lucian[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], but I may be too chicken to use [name]Lucian[/name] as a fn. It’s so much harder for me to come up with boy names than it is girls.

Please throw out any combos that seem to fit my style and would fit well in this sibset! I would love suggestions to help build my list. A literary connection would be a huge plus, but not required. (I’ll be honest, I didn’t actually know [name]Cordelia[/name] was from [name]Shakespeare[/name] until I joined this site! I’ve never read [name]King[/name] Lear, so I don’t have problems with the associated character either).

Thanks in advance!

[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Luke[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] or [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Luke[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Nathan[/name] or [name]Nathan[/name] [name]James[/name]

[name]Harry[/name]
[name]Xander[/name]
[name]Horatio[/name]
Any here you like?

[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] would be super pretty and I love the idea of [name]Pheobe[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]. [name]Juliette[/name] is one of my favourite girls names.

As for the boys, I like the idea of:

[name]Lucian[/name]
[name]Isaac[/name]
[name]Zachary[/name]
[name]Damian[/name]
[name]Louie[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name]
[name]Todd[/name]
[name]Othello[/name]
[name]Charles[/name]

[name]Phoebe[/name] is one of my favorite names! [name]Cordelia[/name] is similarly lovely. To me, as a sibset, they are a good-kind of clashy without being too match-y. They’re both Shakespearean and vintage-feeling and pretty but not too similar that you’re stuck for a third name.

More names:
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Viola[/name]
[name]Marina[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Rosamund[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name] (would fulfill your “[name]Rose[/name]” wish!)
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]

I also like [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] but I’m not certain what to pair with [name]Phoebe[/name].

[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is very pretty. I love love love [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] is stunning  I also like [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] & [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Violet[/name].
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Lucas[/name] or [name]Luca[/name] for a boy? I think [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] is a strong combo.

[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Lucian[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. [name]Love[/name]!!
[name]Lucian[/name] is a perfectly acceptable name; you should go for it.

Thanks for your suggestions! I really like [name]Luke[/name] (especially as a nn for [name]Lucian[/name] haha…but spelled [name]Luc[/name]). I also love the name [name]James[/name], but it’s my brother-in-law and nephew’s name, so that’s unfortunately out. I also love [name]Nathan[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name].

I love [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Nikolai[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]James[/name], [name]Harry[/name], and [name]Xander[/name]. I prefer [name]Xander[/name] as a nn for [name]Alexander[/name], though. And [name]James[/name], [name]Harry[/name], and [name]Sebastian[/name] are out because I know people with those names. I worry that [name]Nikolai[/name] might be too “exotic” compared to the other names. What do you think? Oh, and [name]Lucas[/name] used to be at the top of my list until my friend told me that it made her think of “mucus.” :frowning:

Thank you! I do love [name]Rose[/name] with [name]Cordelia[/name], but my only worry is that people complain that [name]Rose[/name] is overused in the middle spot. [name]Do[/name] you think that matters if it honors someone? I love love love the name [name]Isaac[/name], and it’s on my long list. My only complaint about it is that it doesn’t have a nn I like, but I can get over that. I love [name]Xavier[/name], but it’s my Godson’s name. I also like [name]Damian[/name] but worry about “The Omen” connection.

I love [name]Marina[/name], [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name], and [name]Celia[/name]. I like [name]Olivia[/name] too, but my ex-best friend just named one of her twins [name]Olivia[/name], so that’s out unfortunately.

Thank you…I like [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] too. See above about [name]Lucas[/name]…and I do like [name]Luca[/name] as well.

Thank you!!! The more I think about it, the more I love [name]Lucian[/name]. My two hesitations are that I like the pronunciation Loo-shen, and worry about too many people saying Loo-see-an instead, and mainly just people around where I live staring at me like I’m crazy because they’ve never heard the name before. Hmmm…

We are naming our little one [name]Lucian[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] as well! Go for it.
