We are due in [name_u]August[/name_u] and we are not finding out the gender so picking a name is even harder! Hubby and I are having trouble agreeing on ANYTHING so I’m trying to compile a list of 30 names that he can narrow down from. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and his name is [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] so we don’t like anything too common as we both had the common [name_f]Katy[/name_f] and [name_m]Josh[/name_m]. Last name is [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
Ellanora [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] - I actually think EllaBell is really cute
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Tinsley[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] (too close to tinker bell??)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Roselyn[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
Whats my style? What name do you love or hate? What do you think I would like besides whats on my list? Thanks!
I don’t like Ellanora, but [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] is nice. Also, [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]'s daughter’s name–maybe only name nerds know that? I probably wouldn’t use it for that reason, but it doesn’t really matter. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your list is [name_f]Coraline[/name_f].
Ellanora [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - I would definitely go with the spelling [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]. It’s beautiful! [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] would also be really cute.
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - gorgeous! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. Elegant and unusual.
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - for a girl? No way. For a boy, it’s great.
[name_f]Tinsley[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - not a fan I’m afraid. It makes me think of tinsel.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - probably my favourite! [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name. The three syllables work really well with your one-syllable last name.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - pretty, a little blah as [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]/[name_f]Addie[/name_f] is so overused at the moment.
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - gorgeous! I actually quite like the alliteration here. Also, [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is adorable for a little girl!
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - beautiful.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - really gorgeous, but I wonder how well [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] will age. Actually, with the nns [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_f]Nola[/name_f], probably very well!
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - love the name, but there are a LOT of L sounds in this name. Probably too many, sorry.
[name_f]Roselyn[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] - pretty, but I personally prefer [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Also, the -lyn ending is so trendy right now.
I wonder if you would like:
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] ([name_f]Hattie[/name_f])
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]My[/name_f] faves from your list are [name_f]Roselyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f].
I’d like [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] better than your proposed spelling.
Others (your list seems girl-heavy, so here are some possibilities for boys):
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u]
[name_u]Camden[/name_u]
[name_m]Colton[/name_m]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is a sweet nickname. I find EllaNora [name_u]Bell[/name_u] and EllaBell to be too much. [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] would be cute tho. nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u].
[name_f]Lenora[/name_f] just made me think of [name_f]Loretta[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] sounds really good to me too. possible nn [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is very similar to [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] but without the [name_f]Ell[/name_f]-ell.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f]
I wouldn’t do [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] (because of the reason you mentioned) or [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] ([name_f]Kristen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]'s daughter)
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] are darling especially with your surname. I have to say though that I hate [name_f]Tinsley[/name_f] (makes me think of tinsel, and the -ley ending is very trendy) and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] is such a masculine name for a girl. Ellanora is cute but I would use [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] instead.
[name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] would let her go by either [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]. What a fun last name for a little girl.
Ellanora: I like the name but I would spell it as [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] instead.
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: [name_u]Love[/name_u]! I love the name [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and all of the longer forms that go with it.
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: I like [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] for a boy, but not a girl. Also, this is [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]'s daughter’s name. I don’t know if that bothers you or not!
[name_f]Tinsley[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: I prefer [name_f]Tenley[/name_f], but I don’t really like either of them. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my style!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: So adorable!
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: I like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] but I would never use it because of the almost inevitable nickname [name_f]Maddy[/name_f].
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] (too close to tinker bell??): Not a fan of alliteration.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: I love the name [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but with [name_u]Bell[/name_u] it just sounds like you’re talking about a purple bell.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f]: Beautiful
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: I like this
[name_f]Roselyn[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]: This sounds so cute and sweet
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite by far is [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]!
Suggestions:
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] (I like it better than [name_f]Roselyn[/name_f])
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
I love any spelling of [name_f]Elenora[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is a great nickname, after [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] the writer of When [name_m]Harry[/name_m] Met [name_f]Sally[/name_f] and Sleepless in Seattle. I also like [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] from your list. For boy names, how about [name_m]Archer[/name_m], [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Declyn[/name_m], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] or [name_m]Whitman[/name_m]? My friend named her son [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] after my suggestion because its so masculine and heroic, just what you need to balance out the “[name_u]Bell[/name_u].” Good luck and Congrats!
Ellanora is a bit weird but [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] sounds good. So do [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u].
I thonk you need a classic longer name for your surname which is short and has its double ll.
I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] ONLY because of the adorable nickname “[name_f]Lola[/name_f]”! [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is just too cute. I’m not actually a fan of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] though. Although I’ve also seen [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] with [name_f]Lola[/name_f] as a nickname for that.
I also like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. Very cute!
Ellanora is so cute! Surprisingly, I don’t dislike the alternate spelling. [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] has always seemed old looking to me (but not old SOUNDING which is good) just because of the old spelling that people tend to just think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m] (or at least I do). But Ellanora is super cute actually. If you’re alright with her being called (possibly) [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]…great! It also gives room for lots of nicknames - [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].
Great sirname to work with
One syllable sirnames give you more combinations too, lucky you
I like Elanora [name_u]Bell[/name_u] the most out of your list (i prefer only one L to edgy it out a bit). [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is lovely too.
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is cute but yes there is the possibility of the nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u].
Based on what I can see of your style and previous replies, here are some other suggestions:
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] (Nn [name_f]Wendy[/name_f]. A bit quirky but its kinda of catchy)
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] (sounds a bit like Lullaby but I like it.
I like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Roselyn[/name_f]. I’m bit on the fence with [name_f]Roselyn[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] spelling (although all the rest are nice, too), but I can’t make up my mind about pronunciation. Still, [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is name I really like, maybe it stays on my list, maybe I replace it with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f].
