Help naming #2 and it's a boy!!!

My husband and I need some help! We have a 3 year old little girl named [name]Leyla[/name] and are expecting our second - a BOY! Excited and nervous at the same time. The only name we like is [name]Lucas[/name]. But, I don’t want to get stuck naming all my children L names. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My husband is Latino so although it doesn’t have to sound Spanish, it needs to flow with our last name. (ie NOT [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Henry[/name], etc)

Please help!! Thanks!!

I love [name]Cruz[/name]! [name]One[/name] of my favorite combos is [name]Gable[/name] [name]Cruz[/name]. [name]Gable[/name] would sound nice with [name]Leyla[/name].

I really liked your earlier options of [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]. [name]Gabriel[/name] is nms.
I also think the traditional Hebrew names like [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] complement the mn [name]Rebekah[/name] nicely - though I would pair it with a slightly spunkier name that meshes with [name]Leyla[/name].

If [name]Leyla[/name] [name]Rebekah[/name] were my little girl and I had to name her brother I would probably go with one of the following:
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Zane[/name] ([name]Ben[/name] or [name]Benji[/name])
[name]Isaac[/name] ([name]Ike[/name]) [name]Cruz[/name]

Other suggestions include: [name]Able[/name], [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]Zachary[/name] as fn or mn’s with the Hebrew connection.
Spunkier suggestions include: [name]Fito[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Luis[/name], [name]Quin[/name], [name]Ian[/name] and [name]Harlow[/name].

PS: I also posted something similar on your other thread though without the stronger Latino twist.
I would probably stay away from [name]Lucas[/name] as a fn even though I like it because I wouldn’t want to inadvertently end up with an “L” theme.

Good [name]Luck[/name] and Congrats on the news!!!

Thanks for the suggestions! I do still ike [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] but, like you said - i don’t want to get stuck with an L theme.

I will ask my husband what he thinks of [name]Cruz[/name]. I do think he would like to keep the names Biblical, so I like [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] for that reason - but our best friends’ son is [name]Isaac[/name] :frowning: and my sister wants to name her future son [name]Elijah[/name] / [name]Elias[/name]. grr.

Of the other suggestions…I like [name]Ian[/name]! again I’ll have to run it by my husband. Another problem we have is that we rarely agree on a name!

Thanks ladies!

Oh, okay, I didn’t realize Biblical was a preference too. Would you consider something like [name]Gideon[/name] or [name]Boaz[/name]? Those are my favorite Biblical names for boys.

Well, I guess I am a little more traditional. I don’t know, boys’ names are so difficult for me!!! I mean, the really traditional names won’t go with our last name, but I am not very adventurous either. The Biblical names I like are [name]Micah[/name], [name]Jonah[/name], [name]Elijah[/name], and [name]Asher[/name]. My husband would never go for [name]Asher[/name] though, and [name]Elijah[/name] is my sister’s favorite name for her future kids.

Maybe knowing some girl names I like will help? Seriously, boys’ names are crazy hard for me:
[name]Elena[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] or [name]Emily[/name], [name]Isabela[/name] - those are a few of my favorites for girls, if that helps you know my style.

Some Biblical traditional names that (I think) work in Spanish that are nice to me include:

[name]Aaron[/name]
[name]Abram[/name]
[name]Daniel[/name] - sounds really nice with [name]Leyla[/name] with that L sound tying them together
[name]David[/name]
[name]Ezekiel[/name]
[name]Simon[/name]
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]

Any of these sticking? While the above might be pronounced differently or spelled a little differently in Spanish (like [name]Thomas[/name] --> [name]Tomas[/name]), they all basically transfer, and aren’t a wholly different name to the best of my knowledge (i.e. [name]Joseph[/name] --> [name]Jose[/name], [name]James[/name] --> [name]Diego[/name]).

[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Reuben[/name]? It reminds me of [name]Asher[/name] in a way – has a soft feel and mild sound, not too “out-there.”

[name]How[/name] about [name]Noah[/name]?
