[name]Just[/name] after some thoughts on names for our 3rd child, trying to pick a pretty name but also a name that fits in with my 2 other children. They are:
[name]Audrey[/name] (I have always loved but hubby went off it last time which is why we have an [name]Isla[/name] and he still doesn’t love)
[name]Ava[/name] (in top 20 in Australia)
[name]Darcy[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] (hubby’s choice, I went off it due to popularity, in top 20 in Australia)
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Zoey[/name] (in top 20 in Australia)
My issues are whether I need to stick to our apparent 4 letter naming theme, I don’t think I do of course but will a 3rd child with a longer name sound odd? (even though we aren’t looking at any particularly “long” names as such). The other thing is so many of the names we like are so popular, I realise [name]Isla[/name] is zooming up the popularity charts so I guess it doesn’t really matter. [name]Evan[/name] isn’t in the top 100 yet he’s already got another [name]Evan[/name] in his preschool class, go figure!
I have an [name]Isla[/name] too - Names on our list are [name]Iris[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Piper[/name], [name]Adair[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] ([name]Josie[/name]) [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Carys[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Hattie[/name]/ [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], and [name]Lorelai[/name]. We asked people about the long/ short thing also because we really like [name]Josephine[/name] but DD1 is [name]Isla[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - short and sweet. No one seemed to think it was an issue, but it still sort of bothers me.
With [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Isla[/name], I like [name]Darcy[/name]. Thoughts on [name]Brianne[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Camryn[/name], [name]Kristen[/name], [name]Meg[/name], [name]Ainsley[/name], [name]Maeve[/name]? just to get an idea if any of these are on the right track
My first 2 have 4 letters as well. I wouldve loved to do all 4 letters, but really i didnt want to restrict myself. I went with my favorite [name]Jasper[/name] nn [name]Jack[/name]. Its fantastic for him.
I would say if your dh still doesnt really care for thr name [name]Isla[/name], you should go for a name he likes this time. Popular bames are popular because they really are great names.
Let your husband be your deciding factor.
With that said, I particularly love [name]Darcy[/name] for you
