We are expecting our third and I am having a very hard time with girl names. I have the perfect name but my husband is not a fan at all.
We have two other girls named M@ry-Asp3n Eli@na (M@e) and Junip3r-Ann3 E|speth (Ju|es). They each have a family name, nature name, and sweet nickname.
My top name is De||a-S@ge. I think this name is absolutely gorgeous. It has the family honor part, sweet, vintage sound, and nature name ( having a hard time with the nickname and thinking of falling back on Dell). But it doesn’t seem like I am going to convince my husband because he just doesn’t like the way it sounds.
So I think we may need to start from scratch and find something entirely new we both love.
A name he suggested was Vi0let-Ruth ( I suggested the nickname Letti3). I like this a lot but I don’t know that I LOVE it. I REALLY want to use the name Sage.
My husband is a big fan of No@h-S@ge but, again, I like it but don’t love it
So what kind of suggestions do you have?! We are running out of family names that we like so I’m not sure we will be as worried about that part.
Family names we have:
Cordell (this is where I got Della from)
Alice
Margaret
Violet
I guess I am looking for suggestions for something that is vintage and sweet, unique but easy to read and pronounce, has a cute nickname.
EDIT: after all of the suggestions I am realizing I do not like the family names or their derivatives very much at all
So! What are some of your favorite sweet, vintage girl names?
I like: Ruth, Noemi, Winifred/ Winnie (my husband would never), Louisa, Fern.
Maybe we will come across one we haven’t considered or have forgotten about.
