We chose the name [name_f]Nova[/name_f] because of its meaning. I was told that I’d probably never be able to have children so one daughter was a blessing, and we wanted to choose an extra special name with a beautiful meaning behind it. (We chose [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] for her middle name because it was my maiden name before I got married).
I’ve recently found out I’m expecting again (miracle!) with another baby girl, and now we’re completely stumped for names!!We want a name that’s special and beautiful with meaning, and one that will be just as special as the name [name_f]Nova[/name_f]. We wouldn’t want our second daughter to feel like her older sister got the best name.
Our last name is Hamming, and we quite like the following names:
None of the names really shout out to my husband and I and they don’t really have the ‘[name_f]Nova[/name_f]’ wow effect we both had when we first found that name when we were expecting our first daughter…plus there’s the meaning issues. If it’s of any significance both my husband and I are tanned, black hair, green eyes. Literary names are most welcome as are myths etc. My family have Greek roots.

I just wanted to reassure you that you don’t need to find a name as much as you love [name_f]Nova[/name_f]. Especially now—[name_f]Nova[/name_f]'s the best name in the world, because it was picked with love for your miracle girl and just whispering it brings her face to your mind. A name you pick for your girl will become wonderful by its association to your new miracle.
The first one I thought of was [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. I really like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] too. I think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] pairs really nicely with [name_f]Nova[/name_f], but it fits in the middle as a great parallel to [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. In fact, [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] goes rather nicely with [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].
