[name_u]Baby[/name_u] number two is due in the spring and we’re not finding out the sex so we need names for both and we’re really struggling.
Our son is [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is considered very unusual where we live (near [name_u]London[/name_u]) and I’m having a hard time coming up with names that compliment it.
It doesn’t have to be biblical, especially as we’re not religious, but I do like a lot of biblical names.
The only rules are no names ending in S (clashes with surname) and I don’t want another E name.
Please don’t overwhelm me with long lists of names, I feel like I’ve already been through thousands!
If you could just suggest a few well chosen names that you’d personally use with [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] that would be so helpful.
Top contenders at the moment are [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ([name_f]Tilda[/name_f]/[name_f]Tilly[/name_f])
with runners up [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] but we’re not 100% sold on any yet.
I really like [name_u]Jude[/name_u], if its the top contender…go with it! It sounds good with [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. I like it better than [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] & [name_m]Jacob[/name_m].
(FYI - [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is one of my favorite names. A combo on my boys list is Erza [name_u]Michael[/name_u] too! [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is a family name)

My main reservation about using [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is that our last name begins with S. So if there was more than one [name_u]Jude[/name_u] in his class at school (not impossible as its top 100 here) he’d be known as [name_u]Jude[/name_u] S. Which sounds like [name_m]Judas[/name_m] when said aloud. I don’t know if that’s worth worrying about?
Not sure if it’s worth worrying about but I can see the [name_u]Jude[/name_u] S thing making me shy away from a name too.

I totally forgot girls names. I love the name [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ([name_f]Tilly[/name_f] being my favorite nn). I also like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
I would do something longer than four letters like [name_u]August[/name_u]/[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] for a boy and I love [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] for a girl.
I think they’re both very complimentary to [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] & [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] is what came immediately to mind for a boy, and something like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] & [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] or [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] & [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] would be lovely for a girl - I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a fantastic choice though.
