Help Naming Mack Alexander's Sister due in Sept

[name]Hi[/name] Berries,

I’m pretty new to Nameberry and would love some help. We are expecting a baby girl in [name]September[/name] and are totally undecided on her name. We have a son, [name]Mack[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] - we named him the day we found out he was going to be a boy (at 16 wks) and never looked back - so much harder this time! We lived in the south when [name]Mack[/name] was born, and love that his name is different (but not strange…), very uncommon and has a southern flavor (we now live in the northeast). We want to find something different/uncommon but pretty for baby girl. Last name starts with H and sounds like [name]Raymond[/name]. We agree on a few names (but I’m not sure I’m totally loving any of them - they are growing on me):

[name]Marlow[/name]/[name]Marlowe[/name] (we thought of this b/c I love [name]Harlow[/name], but wouldn’t use w our last name)
[name]Margot[/name] (Hubby’s fave this week, possibly mine too)
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Kate[/name] (we loved this for years, but w the Duchess, fear an explosion - plus possibly too vanilla for us)
[name]Lucy[/name] (Hubby likes this way more than I do - plus I much prefer [name]Luci[/name] or [name]Lucie[/name] spellings - hubby disagrees)

Hubby has 2 younger sisters, [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Elle[/name], and their first cousin is [name]Lila[/name] - so we can’t use anything that sounds anything like those (I particularly love [name]Lila[/name], [name]Gisele[/name] and [name]Sage[/name], but all are out for me - would use [name]Lila[/name] or [name]Sage[/name] in the middle spot, though). Three of my best friends have daughters [name]Lennox[/name], Mazzy and [name]Eden[/name], also love those names.

I really like but hubby already said no to [name]Wren[/name], [name]Jade[/name], [name]Bliss[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Vivian[/name].

Would greatly appreciate any thoughts on our current list, and of course any suggestions! Thanks in advance

[name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Mack[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. I’m not very good with girl names but will give some a go…

[name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Maizie[/name] (but too close to your friends)
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Jillian[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Aubrey[/name]
[name]Mia[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Tara[/name]
[name]Lola[/name]
[name]Lindsey[/name]
[name]Camille[/name]

Thanks, @gabby1! I love his name, too - part of the reason I’m feeling so much pressure to come up with something perfect. Appreciate your suggestions. Really like [name]Phoebe[/name] (hubby and I discussed it a while ago and somehow forgot about it), [name]Caroline[/name] (but I went to [name]Duke[/name] so I cant go there), [name]Jillian[/name] (biggest loser is my fave but not sure i could get over the association) and [name]Lola[/name] (for [name]Marlowe[/name], we’d consider it as a nn - we know a lot of Lolas so wouldnt use it as given name). Thinking about [name]Phoebe[/name] today…

[name]Love[/name] your sons name!

[name]Mona[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Margery[/name]
[name]Emme[/name]
[name]Clarissa[/name]
[name]Helene[/name]
[name]Lauren[/name]
[name]Elsie[/name]
[name]Talia[/name]
[name]Celestine[/name]

Really hope these help! Oh, and Congrats

The first name that came to mind was [name]Nola[/name] - kind of retro, Southern, but still of the moment.

Thanks!

@dayken95 i love emme from your list - i brought it up a little while ago w hubby and it reminds him of an ex-gf’s name (she was emily, and he called her emmy…but that was in college!! i really like it, im putting it back on the list!)

@juliagulia nola is cute with a retro/southern flavor - but it sounds terrible w our last name (as does lola). boo.

really appreciate the feedback
