We’re expecting our first little bundle of joy in [name]May[/name] and are having a hard time settling on a name for her. Hubby’s fave right now is [name]Mica[/name]/[name]Myka[/name], I don’t know how he wants to spell it. My current pick is [name]Calista[/name]. I am pretty set on using [name]Iris[/name] (a family name) for the middle name (or at least one or her middle names, it’s sort of a family thing to have two middle names, so that would be ok). Other names that we have liked include [name]Leila[/name] and [name]Maya[/name].
Any suggestions of other names we might like, or combinations of names, would be much appreciated!!
[name]Myca[/name]/[name]Mica[/name] could also be spelled [name]Mika[/name]. (Pronounced Mee-ka). It’s a beautiful name.
I like that a lot better than MY-ca. Sounds too much like [name]Micah[/name], which is a BOY’S name! [name]Don[/name]'t let him give a little girl a boy’s name. Save it for whenever you have a son.
My favorite (other than [name]Mika[/name]- and I’m biased cause that’s what I named my puppy :P) is [name]Leila[/name]. [name]Leila[/name] is beautiful and feminine, and in my opinion it kind of sounds Hawaiian, beachy and carefree. When I hear the name [name]Leila[/name], I think of someone with a white hibiscus flower in their hair.
I think [name]Calista[/name] [name]Iris[/name] is great. I think [name]Leila[/name] and [name]Maya[/name] are nice too. To me “MY-ka” is a boys name, [name]Micah[/name].

What about [name]Michaela[/name]? He likes [name]Mica[/name]/[name]Myka[/name], you both like [name]Leila[/name]… I thought [name]Michaela[/name] would suits here.
[name]Calista[/name] [name]Iris[/name] is lovely too. Compared with [name]Mica[/name], I definitely choose this. I love the nn [name]Callie[/name] and the meaning.
I love [name]Myka[/name]. I have a female friend named [name]Micah[/name] ( yes, the “boy” name) she’s lovely and talented, and the name suits her well. [name]Calista[/name] is beautiful too, but I can’t stand the nn [name]Callie[/name]. It’s currently the second most popular name for cats.
[name]Iris[/name] is one of my favorite names, so I would love to see it out front, but it works very well for a middle name. I like [name]Leila[/name] ([name]Lay[/name]-lah), but I have heard other pronounciations. [name]Maya[/name] (My-ah) is my other favorite. [name]Leila[/name] [name]Iris[/name] or [name]Maya[/name] [name]Iris[/name] are both beautiful!

[name]Calista[/name] [name]Iris[/name] is stunning, and I’ve always loved [name]Leila[/name] and [name]Maya[/name] as well [name]How[/name] about [name]Meike[/name] instead of [name]Mica[/name]? It’s pronounced the same, but it’s a totally feminine name (a variation of [name]Mary[/name]). That being said… I think [name]Micah[/name] or [name]Mica[/name] would be just fine on a girl too, it’s a great name
